I love this dress. Its loose but I don't feel like I am wearing a tent. It's perfect for layering during the winter. My only wish was that it was a few inches longer, but I am 6 feet fall. So for most women its probably the perfect lengthen.
I love this dress! It’s pretty versatile, I have a long torso, and the elastic is at the right spot. The length is great and the sleeves are comfy. Harder to do the challenge during the winter, but I thought I was preordering for April, and I was happy when it arrived a week ago!!! I’m surprised at how easy it is to make it winter ready.
Perfect fit, great fabric. I am looking forward to lots of wearing my new fave LBD ( little black dress)
I received this dress in black after completing the 100 day challenge in the sierra. I really like this dress...I think it will be great for travel (wishful!). Lightweight enough for summertime, reversible (though the "boatneck" is a tiny bit high for my comfort) and for fall/spring/winter easily layered with long sleeves and leggings underneath, and/or cardigan/sweater on top. Would be great if the dress came with a removable sash (the elastic makes it look more casual than it needs to) and the neckline a little lower in the "back" (i.e., not the wrap side). I have a long torso and the elastic hits above my waist which makes it a little awkward fitting, but still looks good, I think. This dress will be my "light packing go-to"!
I pre-ordered this dress a while ago and was so so stoked to finally receive it. I cant wait to wear this dress for days on end.
I went back and forth on sizing, so wanted to write this review for anyone also trying to figure out their size! I ordered a S and I think it's pretty much perfect. I normally wear Small or Medium and I'm glad I sized down. I ordered a S and it hits right at my actual waist, and the wrap opening is honestly pretty modest--no issue with gaping and wouldn't consider it a "plunging" neckline on me personally.
I ordered this back in June for my Anniversary not realizing it was a pre-order, I am so glad I didn’t cancel my order! The minute it arrived I ran inside and through it on, it was Love at first wear! That night I couldn’t even bring myself to take it off, sheepishly climbing into bed with my partner and our one year old (we co sleep) it was so I good I wore it for an entire week. My washing machine happened to be broken so I figured why not?! Now it’s one of my most reached for dresses. Super comfortable, easy to nurse in, and all around flattering! The only downside is I find is it easily snags, but all in all, the perfect little black dress that I never want to be without!
This was ordered months ago, and I've since lost a considerable amount of weight so can't wear it as I had hoped. :( Looks well constructed and very soft. Looking forward to ordering a smaller version. Thanks!
This dress is definitely worth the money. It's so comfortable, it goes with everything. I love love love that I can wear it multiple times between washes -- and, it survived the washer AND dryer without any shrinkage! I'm really happy with this purchase.
As for the cut and fit: The length on me is perfect, right at the knee. It looks great with the faux wrap and the bateau neckline, according to my husband. The elastic waist does sit a little low. I feel like an empire waist would look a tiny bit more polished, especially with a faux wrap, but it's not a dealbreaker. I saw a lot of people saying the bateau neckline sat too high/wasn't comfortable, but I didn't really experience that at all.
I waited a long time for this dress to come in stock in my color and size. It was worth the wait! To me, the dress runs big. For reference I wear a small and medium in the Rowena swing dress, but an XS in this Brooklyn wrap. If the design team were to ask my opinion on the dress, I would beg for pockets. Super comfortable to wear.
