The dress is great. I got it in Spruce Green, which is a lovely color for all year round. I am usually somewhere between a medium and a large (medium on top, large on bottom) and the medium fits me perfectly. I like having the option for it to be reversible, but I think it comes up a little too high on my neck to be perfectly comfortable, though it does give you more accessory options (you can wear different necklaces when it's a high neck as opposed to a wrap/v-neck). I am 5'4" so I got the regular length and it is great on me, though it is almost too short.
Being quite small busted, I prefer wearing V necked dresses - the fitted and yet flowing style of the Brooklyn appealed to me. I spontaneously decided to do the 100 days challenge once it arrived. The dress is light and comfortable, sporty, dressy and versatile all in one - and ridiculously easy to take care of!
So soft. And breastfeeding friendly. I like that it’s reversible too.
A classic dress that drapes beautifully. I love the versatility It would have been nice to have pockets and it took ages to arrive but I feel the quality is exceptional. It will be on high rotation!
There is a lot I love about the dress, but I was definitely surprised how thin the material is. As a larger woman, it shows bra lines and panty lines, so even though it is modelled on a larger woman, the professional photography used definitely is more flattering than real life.
Oh my, I thought there was no way this dress could be all that everyone says it is. But it is! I wore it to a memorial service this weekend (Sept.2021, upstate NY Finger lakes region), and I was not too hot. I dressed it up with a scarf, and wore it with the high neck. The next day turned I wore it the other way around, changed my shoes, and felt awesome. It's very flattering to my new pandemic poundage. I have been wearing XL, but based on everyone's reviews I ordered a Large and a Medium. The medium looked great, so I easily returned the Large. I will be buying more of these dresses. I've worn it to work too. If I wear the low cut side front, I will have to wear a tank top underneath to keep my bra from hanging out. I also wish so much that it had pockets. Then it would be perfect.
I adore this dress. I look so good in it and it feels amazing. I simply cannot get over how stunning it looks. I have the Rowena swing in XXL and it feels boxy, I sized down for this one and the fit is perfect. I've only worn it one day but I can easily see wearing it all the time. I had to take away one star because it didn't have pockets, which horrifies me, but most dresses without pockets I would just return. This looks too good, I'll never give it up. Please make more colours and add pockets and you can have all my money
I love everything about this dress. The color, fabric, fit, and size are great. You can tell it is a quality item by look and feel.
I wanted the Clara dress to do my 100 day challenge. But, i saw the Brooklyn, short sleeve and decided to use some birthday money. I really like the dress, i wear alot of black, i have a ton of Blazers and scarves, to help me dress up. We have a dress code at work, I am an IT person. I really am glad to have the forums to give us ideas. I love that i can turn this dress into a skirt also. All my other skirts are put away. Very glad that i continue on my way of simplifying parts of my life.
I'm 10 days in to my 100 day challenge and I'm thrilled by how odor resistant this is. It's been a game changer being able to do much less laundry! It's so soft and comfortable and I feel more dressy than my work from home uniform of casual shorts and a random T-shirt that I'd previously settled on. I think the cut & fit are really flattering to my hourglass figure. I was between M & L and I sized down to M, but the V neck is pretty low cut on me, and if I were buying again, I might size down even farther to a S (though I can't remember the last time I wore a S in anything). I usually wear it the other way around, with the boat neck in the front, and I love that it gives me some ventilation in my back. I think if I wear the V-neck in front, I'll wear a bralette or camisole underneath or a shirt on top.
