I really liked the feel of the 100%-wool fabric. It's a tighter weave than the blended fabric, not so stretchy. I loved the dark teal color. Unfortunately I sent it back because the shoulders were wide on me and the hip area was tight. I think it would look fab if I wasn't triangle shaped. But sizing up would not have helped me.
I bought a Willow long and loved it. Then bought the Henley Dress in both colors. Liked it that much! But the surprise favorite is the Clara Shirt dress. It is so versatile. I usually wear as a tunic, and I tie the belt trenchcoat style in the back. This adds a little shape while keeping the front loose and comfortable.
I read the reviews and initially ordered one size larger...XL instead of L. It was too big! (I'm in a weightless program and it felt great to send a garment back for a smaller size!) The L was perfect. And I can roll the sleeves up a few times....no worries there. The cut and neckline are flattering....but the fabric makes this a true investment piece. It is dressier than the Willow or the Henley Dress. Very office appropriate. I never get too hot or too cold. I like that it just buttons part way. I bought the black. but plan to purchase other colors. This piece is a game changer! More please!
After washing, the fabric shrunk and pilled disgracefully. This ran small and short compared to the half a dozen other Wool& products I have had incredible experiences with. It’s a pretty style, but it is so small after washing that I cannot wear it. Tragic waste of money.
I’ve been wearing Rowena, Maggie, Willow, and Sierra for 15 months, but now have worn Clara for 6 out of the last 7 days and I love this dress. The depth of the colors (I have black, teal, and aubergine), the drape of the fabric, the tailoring of the dress, even the functionality of the pockets—I just love Clara. And yes, I still love my swing dresses!! I wear the same size in all my wool& dresses. The Clara is amazing. Might be nice in taupe too (hint hint).
This dress is beautiful and hugely functional. The 100% wool fabric is especially wonderful to wear. On day 19 of the 100 day challenge and the fabric just keeps draping better and better every day.
For my braless folks, the weight of the fabric and the placement of the pockets make this an easy go-to. I don't even wear a tank top under it, and the resulting shape doesn't scream "bra burning hippie" at all.
Pocket size is great, too!
