This dress vies with the Mara for my favorite Wool& dress. The skirt is not as full as the Rowena and the pockets aren’t as prominent, so the dress doesn’t add bulk around the hips. I love the striped material. I’m short, so the skirt is quite long on me, but its a nice change from my short dresses. . I wear it as a shift rather than belted because I prefer the look. The lightweight wool is perfect for summer in Maine, especially this cool and rainy one.
I absolutely love the Cora. The cut is streamlined but still forgiving and the blue stripe looks great. This is my third Wooland dress and my favorite so far. I usually wear an S or occasional XS in clothing and I ordered the XS. It fits perfectly.
It fits great. I might have gone a size smaller but I like having the ease in my hips. I love the length. I have hesitated to get these dresses because most fell above the knee. This falls just below my knees.
Cora is pure magic. The same quality, smooth, light wool composition I've come to expect from Wool&, with a lovely new silhouette. The sleeve length and opening is just right, live the slight slit on the side of the hem, and that the belt does NOT have loops. Meaning where your waist sits is where the belt sits. And, yeah, pockets.
In summary, Cora = Magic.
Cora would be the offspring!
What I love about Cora:
She’s super soft and comfy, but not sheer. Her pockets are very generous and practical. She can transition from day to night, weekend to boardroom, with simple changes to shoes and accessories but she looks great just by herself. She doesn’t have anything that’s fussy. No loops to get in the way if she is styled without her belt, no tag, no folds, no particular areas. She’s just a t-shirt that kept growing until it split into slits.
What’s not to love:
Cora could have a slight dart to give a hint of shaping and body contour. As with Mara, I sized up. It was the right choice. A small would have felt too small. This isn’t a negative, because I don’t care what size, as long as it fits and flatters. I think it’s worth noting.
Overall I’m very pleased with her. I think she will get plenty of wear three or possibly four seasons. She really is a blank slate and looks sharp styled with or without her belt or anything else.
Cora is my 7th Wool& piece. (Sierra, Clara, Fiona, Laurel, Mara, Brooklyn) and as with the others, she has her uniqueness but is a benefit to my wardrobe.
This is the product on your website that I am most excited about. The designers and manufacturer nailed it with the blue and ivory color, and the cut looks both summery and put-together. Thanks especially for offering a below-knee length.
