I was anticipating the arrival of my
Lavender Fiona dress so much I did a “fashion show” for my family when it arrived. I had done all the research for its care and found a hole in the skirt after 6 days of wear. I was also disappointed to see it is not 100% wool and felt like other dresses I own that are cheaper. The last dress I purchased at this price was my prom dress over a decade ago! I am disappointed and feel it is an overall nice garment as far as fit, comfort, and style but not worth it in the end for its quality and durability.
I really love this dress. I read a bunch of
Reviews before I ordered and settle on XL. It fits really well and is flattering. I was surprised by how lightweight and breathable it is. It fits almost like an empire waist dress but not quite.
I completed the 100 day challenge at the very beginning of 2021, and wanted to go ahead and enjoy my discounted dress. I got the fit and flare in the light purple color in the same size as the Rowena Swing (which was what I wore for 100 days), and I really like the fit! Maybe it was wearing a swing dress for 100 days, but it was so nice to put on a form fitting dress! It does fit way closer to the body than the Rowena in the chest and arms, but it doesn't pull or have any weird places even though I have a relatively large chest. The color is gorgeous. Very happy with both these dresses, and I hope to invest in one or two more so I have one for every season!
I'm 8 days into the 100 Day challenge now and so far I'm really enjoying my new dress. The fabric is soft and I don't feel that it's itchy at all. I really appreciate the style of this particular dress, with the waistline and scoop neckline. I love that this color (lavender) is neutral enough to go with a lot of other colors, but still a visibly purplish shade. The 3/4 sleeves are very versatile. I do struggle a little with static (MN in January, no surprise there), but there are some tricks that help, like rubbing a little lotion on my leggings. The static isn't stopping me from wearing the dress, and probably no one would notice but me. I love the simplicity of knowing what I'm going to wear for the day, eliminating a decision. It's comfy enough to lounge around the house, but nice enough to dress it up for work. The fabric is on the thinner side, but the wool is warm enough for me even though it's winter time. I personally always wear an undershirt or camisole, plus the leggings, so I really like that the fabric is thin. That said, after wearing it every day for over a week now - no pilling, no stains, no smell, no visible wear at all. After having cheap, fast fashion items wear out on me recently in some frustrating ways, I love the idea that this company is so sure of their product that they want me to wear it for 100 days straight and think it'll be just as nice on that 100th day. All in all, I'm very pleased!
This is a very comfortable and flattering style. I ordered the L (I’m 5’2” and 168 lbs.) I probably could have ordered a medium but this will be great. The color is a little more gray than lavender.
Fabric very thin. Not worth the price.
Hi Michele, sorry to hear that the fabric weight wasn't what you had in mind. Thanks for the feedback.
The dress style is too short wasted - by 2-3 “
Fit everywhere but the waist!
I got the Fiona in blue, and it’s lovely. Perfect fit, easy to style or wear as is, super receptive to spot-cleaning, and has yet to look used or worn. I have many young kids, and the dress has withstood everything so far. Soft fabric, no itching, lightweight. The neckline is a perfect, modest swoop. The elastic gives it the right amount of shape while still being very flexible. And pockets: enough said.
I’m currently doing the 100 day challenge with a Rowena dress so I haven’t worn this one much yet, I just got it now because my size seems to sell out often.
Love this dress! It’s so cute, and I love the fitted waist. The Small fits me well, with a little room to spare on top but not enough to look baggy, and comes to just below my kneecaps.
I appreciate that this style has elastic in the waist area so it looks less like a sack and gives definition to my waistline.
