I've already written about how the Frankie is my all time favorite underpants. I have one pair that has 2 pockets. One on each side of the inside of the waistband. I ordered more and the new ones have one pocket. I hope you plan on making them with two pockets in the future.
Also, I'd love these to come in a tan or almond color for under lighter dresses. The black shows through on my lighter colored clothing.
These finally came back into stock in time for me to experience how they work under dresses in the heat of mid-Atlantic summer. They are perfect! Previously I had worn synthetic slip shorts, cotton boy shorts, and bamboo boy shorts. The synthetic ones functioned fine, but were not very breathable; the natural fiber ones rode up on my legs and got sweaty. All of them held odor. Frankie has solved all of those issues! They are lightweight (also *not opaque*—definitely for use under another garment), breathable, and do not retain odor (I do wear underpants underneath, and I hang Frankie to air out overnight). My waist/hip measurements are solidly in the XL size on the chart. XL Frankie was a bit loose on me, so I purchased another in L, which is more snug on me, but not too tight (this has been my experience with Axis as well). I will wear both of them, but my preference is for the fit of the L. I really love these!
The fit is a little more relaxed than what I was hoping for- I was hoping for a little more support around my mid section. I ordered my usual size XL. They are a little more snug around the thigh opening for me, but a little less supportive (re stomach flattening) than I thought. All in all I am glad I got them. They help as a kind of slip and they assist with chaffing. For me if I size down they may have more stomach support, but I worried thigh opening would be even tighter.
From running running to running errands, and under work uniform. I adore these. Super light, yet presentable. Do not migrate. Flattering.
I found the Frankie Bike Shorts to be okay, and I prefer the Summit for comfort. I bought the same size in each, and perhaps should have gone down in Frankie? I can feel the seams in the crotch of the Frankie, whereas in the Summit I can easily forget I am wearing them. I’ll keep, as I’ve worn and washed the Frankie, and will wear, though the Summits will be my go-to.
