Love, love, love!!!

I am absolutely smitten with this! It goes everywhere I go. In the car it's thrown over my lap to keep a chill off, or pulled up to my neck to keep the sun off, but somehow it knows if I need to be kept warm or cool and does the job just right! :) It goes to bed with me, and on cool nights adds warmth to the bedding, or is used solo on warm nights for the perfect light cover. Out and about, I throw it over my shoulders and it is the PERFECT beautiful, drapey wrap. I have used it for a skirt, a shawl, a robe, a blanket, a lap throw, a pillow, a snuggly for the 3 y/o grandbaby, and blanket/swaddle/mat for the newborn, and once as a towel when caught in the rain. I am 5'1, so as a blanket it covers me, but tall ladies may not have the same experience. The color is GORGEOUS. I got the berry and it is richly saturated and a deep jewel color that goes with everything. It accidentally had a foray into the dryer twice and no pilling or noticeable shrinking. I have had other wraps, etc, but this is just in a different league. Perfection!

Worked perfectly as travel blanket, even on airplane, and in mountain cabin

I have some metabolism weirdness (including hypothyroidism) where I get extra cold the instant I lay down. My FIL has a cabin in Colorado, and I’d often have to wear my long underwear beneath pajamas (and sometimes another layer) under the blankets with a hot water bottle to fall asleep there, even when everyone else is comfortable. Then I’d wake up in the wee hours of the morning, overheated. This year I splurged on summit midweight leggings and Halsey raglan top and the wool& throw as a travel blanket. Together they worked really well, with the legging & long sleeve top on and blanket as the innermost layer under regular bed comforter. Toasty enough to fall asleep without shivers, but didn’t wake up too hot later on. Not itchy against bare skin, flattering fit. Very pleased. Just wished there was a color other than black in both the top and bottom available in my size; the black is lovely but hard to locate in a suitcase without lots of light. The blanket’s dark purple color is lovely, and it’s cozy without being bulky at all. Traveled well!

Sleeper hit

I have a lot of Wool&, and was thinking recently about what pieces would be my absolute ride-or-die, must-buys. Surprisingly, the Astoria throw is right at the top of the list! I use it every single day. I'm always warm, always comfortable, never overheated. In the event of an emergency, I would pack it in a go-bag. I have it in spruce and am so tempted to go back for marionberry and grey. (P.S. -- my cats loved it too.)

Astoria throw

I think my gray Astoria throw may be my favorite Wool& item. The merino/nylon fabric is a perfect blend for a soft, luxurious feel and I use it every day. I can cover my bare legs in summer, wrap it around my neck and shoulders in chilly weather, or spread it out on my side of the bed as an extra layer. The size is fine for a throw. I'm very pleased.
