I’ll start with this - don’t judge this tunic too quickly! After washing, it’s soft and supple, yet has great body. I’m not used to linen, so when I first tried Laurel on, she seemed too stiff. That really does magically disappear! Now I really enjoy wearing this piece. It’s kind of an intermediate length - not a dress for anyone my height.
This instantly became one of my favorite wardrobe pieces. It’s so cute and comfortable. It lets me get away with wearing yoga leggings to work underneath. The fabric is light but sturdy, I’ve worn it in 80 degrees and humidity, and with a long sleeve shirt underneath on cooler days and in A/C. I don’t want to wear anything else!
Please make this in more colors! Olive green or dark grey or even black.
Also, a long-sleeved version of this would be amaaaaaazing!
I purchased the Swing Dress and the Laurel Tunic at the same time as I’m leaving the country soon. I absolutely love the fabric of both, but the tunic is really fabulous. It is a bit short, and I am a bit old, so I have to wear it with tights, but it has a very classy feel and fit.
So far I have worn the swing dress more often, but I like the look of the tunic over the dress. Soon I will switch to just the tunic as the temperature here in Louisiana is climbing already and the dark color of the dress makes it a bit too much.
The funny thing is that I’m on day eleven of my 100 day challenge and my husband hasn’t noticed that I’m wearing the same thing every day. My personality must be shining awfully bright. I love this idea and intend to do it as long as I can.
I was worried about getting the laurel because I am very pear shaped, but I love it. I wear it leggings mostly, without the belt. It looks great with a cardigan over it or by itself. The fabric is so breathable and comfortable. I love that it dresses up my daily wardrobe. I’ve had it for a little over a month, wear it a few times a week and have only washed it once. I do not iron it and it still looks great. I can’t wait to layer it more in the fall and winter with sweaters, etc.
I absolutely love the Laurel Tunic. I can wear in under my dresses for extra warmth and style, with leggings, with jeans, skirts, hiking clothes, camping, dog shows, out to dinner, you name it. I washed it in the washer on the hand wash cycle and hang it to dry over night. It doesn’t need iron and I put it right back on. You can belt it, tuck it, tie it and much more.
I love this shirt! It is very well made and I am very pleased with my purchase! I have wore it everyday for 12 days and I love its temperature regulation properties.
I chose the Laurel tunic with my challenge credit and hoped it would be cute and versatile. When it was delivered and I opened the package, I could tell it was excellent quality. When I first put it on, I wasn’t sure how I felt since it’s quite a bit different than I normally wear. I debated returning it but decided to trust my gut and try styling it a few ways. This is the fourth time I have worn it and I can say that I love it! The season is changing from winter to spring so I have played around with layers for winter and a couple summer looks. It is incredibly versatile and well designed. I just had to be open enough to try it; totally worth the investment!
I chose the Laurel for my 100-day challenge because I didn’t want to wait for a different dress. But I am thrilled with it! So glad I took a chance! It fits perfectly and any minor wrinkles from the day fall out overnight with a quick water spritz.
I’m a size 8 and square shaped. The small fit just right. A medium would have been too big, so I think this runs a half size big.
It doesn’t stretch, but it’s still comfy. The fabric has gotten softer each day I’ve worn it (day 11).
I highly recommend this for the challenge. It works with everything I’ve tried: t-shirt under it, knit vest topper over it, hoodie over it, duster over it, tied in front. Get the picture? This tunic does it all!
I love this shirt. It is perfect for what I wanted. I can add accessories to dress it up, or I can dress it down. The length is just right. It is easy to sit down quickly, and walk fast. The nice cuff on the arms gives it a little style. The arm holes are also large enough to wear a shirt under. I like that there are no belt straps at the waist. It sets were I need it to fit. I really like the detail for the last button hole. It is stitched horizontal so it wont slip out. I do like my clothing a bit loose so I usually go up a 1/2 size or more. The medium was perfect, no pull on my bust, or my hips. If you like a snug fit you may find it too loose and you may want to go down a size. But if you have the same size chest as me, it is a nice fit.
I only have positive feedback for this item. The length is a true tunic length. The wide sleeves provided airiness as the temperature increases.
For sizing, I took my measurements and read reviews. I ended up ordering one size down. It fits exactly right. The buttons do not gape at the breast. The lower portion skins my hips.
I’m 9 days into the challenge and know on day 100 that I will still be in love with this tunic.
