I am doing the hundred day challenge and I love this dress for the casual versatility. I am a homeschooling, active mom, so I don’t need anything super fancy but some thing that I can dress up for a date night or for church. This totally fits the bill.
Okay, so I bought this dress in August and I'm only getting around to reviewing this dress now! LOVE! It's a great late spring-summer-early fall dress. I love the cut and I love the emerald green color. When I first tried it on, I was worried that it was a little tight around my hips/ stomach (my hip measurement was at the upper edge of the size chart for my size.) But it has relaxed/ conformed to my body nicely - this photo was taken about 2 weeks after purchase. (I did also try a size S, but it was a little big everywhere.) When I first saw this dress on the website, I thought it was a bit too sporty for my taste, but I love it! It's cute and comfortable. I miss having pockets but I get that they wouldn't work as well in this style (I've tried this with Summit shorts underneath, using the pockets for my phone/ wallet, but it's a bit weird looking).
Like all Wool& dresses, I love the fabric - lightweight, temperature-regulating, absorbs sweat/ dries quickly. Packs down small for travel!
Thought it would be heavy, itchy, typical wool product that I couldn’t wear. Boy, Was I wrong! Soft, supple, wrinkle-free, easy to clean, and I don’t ever want to take The Emerald color is everything I hoped it would be. ❤️ ❤️ My husband was so impressed that he bought 3 Merino wool shirts for his next trip.
I ordered the Lola in large knowing it is fitted. I am so happy with the fit and color, Canyon Red. I had also ordered Chloe in black for an upcoming trip to Hawaii. Chloe went back and reordered Lola in black as Lola fits my body shape so much better. I am curious how these two dresses will perform in Hawaii. We will be there for 2 weeks soon. I don't want to spend time washing so am hoping these are winners in warm climate as they have been in an early November cold spell in eastern Washington state. I like layering over this rather than under with my first dress. Also is great for my large shoulders and narrow hips. It is a winner for me. My ideal, dream dress would be Lola in a long sleeve, longer length version for winter. Please consider elongating the sleeves for my and other long limbed customers. the long sleeved dresses out now are too large for smaller hips or the sleeves are bracelet length. Who wants a sleeve that looks too short for them? Long enough for thumb holes for those that hate to wear gloves.
I am in midst of converting my work/casual/travel wardrobe to sustainable fabrics like merino wool. This company's motto simply resonates with me. I first bought a black Sierra in small black - it was very unflattering on me. I bought Lola in small however it was too tight around my postmenopausal midriff and exchanged for medium. It was perfect. It is just the right length for work. Younger women my height may find it a bit too long. Its short sleeve is very flattering on my untoned upper arms. It is quite fitted that it motivates me not to gain anymore weight. The only small downside is the fabric is a bit wrinkly but it does improve if hung overnight. Anyway if you are looking for a more fitted dress I would 100% recommend Lola.
