This is the perfect dress on it's own or under other dresses. This dress is my hot flash salvation in medium long (had to swap on BST for my size as large was too poufy at the hip) Please make this dress in all of the ro/willow colors (ochre, moss green, marionberry.....and of course grey for dying). If it is available in all of the colors this is WAY more functional than a t-shirt for me -great for casual hiking / errand but can be dressed up, and it's not too precious to wear for doing everyday tasks.
Please make this dress in all the new colors and maybe some more colors 😃
I won’t commit to 100 days right now but to one weekday and one weekend day for all of 2022. Here we go!
I bought myself the Maggie Swing Dress for Christmas with the plans to do the 100-day dress challenge. I was a little worried because 1.) I don't wear dresses that often, and 2.) having enough styling ideas (I'm not creative in that way). After 5 days I can say I do not regret my purchase. It has actually been fun to figure out ways to accessorize. Even on days that I would otherwise not get out of pajamas (I have those occasionally), it is comfortable to lounge around the house. The wearing a dress (as opposed to pants or jeans) takes more getting used to than anything, but surprisingly, I have not found it to be as much of an issue as I initially imagined. If you are thinking about purchasing one, go ahead and do it. Do the challenge if that is something you find intriguing. The fabric is great and comfortable and this dress has taken me from 75 degree weather to 28 degree weather. (I live in Oklahoma.) It is a perfect way to start the new year for me. I will say I got the long style and I am glad I did. With my height it fits like the regular style on a 5'5" person.
Dress fits great and is so comfortable. Love the color and length. I got the long version. Loved it so much I ordered a short sleeve dress, love that as well.
So this dress is shorter than expected and the fabric thinner as well, but I have four Wool& dresses and this one in Olive is the one I decided to use for my 100 day plunge. Perhaps because it is easily layered, or the olive is super neutral. So far so good. Love them all this far though...5'8"
I got the Marine Blue Maggie long and it was worth the wait. I took it with me to Disney planning on wearing it for one day, it turned out the temperature was super warm the days we were there so ended up wearing it all 4 days! I felt comfortable and covered all the days, and no smells from day to day.
I did the 100 day challenge in Summer 2019 with a black Rowena and still wear that quite often. In fact, I have two more Rowenas that I love. But I wanted a short sleeve so I had the option of wearing a cardi or not. I got this Maggie in black so it would be more versatile and I'm thrilled. Same comfy material, nice flow, and flattering on my Oops-Gained-Some-Covid-Pounds body. My one suggestion is to tack the pockets down. While I love having pockets, anything that goes in them swings freely about and is annoying and not flattering.
I ordered the Long Maggie, because I like my dresses to be down to my knees or lower. It's just the right length! I can wear it over leggings or by itself. I can even tie it up at the side and make it look like a top instead of a dress. Best of all, I have only laundered her once in the 18 days that I've worn her for the 100 Day Dress Challenge! I've never tried Merino wool before. I think I'm in love :)
I'm pear-shaped (M up top, L below) and fall right in the middle of M/L on the size chart. A M long Camellia fit well for my 100 days, and this L long Maggie fits great for my reward dress. It's really hard to judge the colors from the site, and at receipt I thought this one was browner than I'd like, but after a few photo opportunities, I love how the color seems to change in different light and surroundings, and I've gotten lots of compliments on the color for me. It plays well with many shades. I find the material light, comfortable, and opaque. I like the length, pockets, and short sleeves. I do wish the neckline was a bit higher, and I'd have even more love for a version that fell calf-length on me. :)
