I was so excited to receive my Wool& dress. It is super cute and drapes just enough without looking super baggy. I immediately experienced the "spotlight" effect when someone complimented my hair - I think the simple blue dress really brought out my hair color. Anyway, I tried to re-wear the dress a second day after washing out the armpit area. However because I use natural deodorant due to an allergy to anti-perspirant I didn't make it past the second day of the challenge. I can understand how it might work well for folks who do not live in a warm climate and/or perspire like me because I usually cannot even re-wear a garment after a full day. I love how effortless this garment is. It is not too hot for most days despite being wool and yet has just enough weight not to feel flimsy. Love my Wool& dress, especially the pockets too!
I adored my Rowena challenge dress. I adore the Sierra tank dress. I ADORE my Maggie!!!
Super versatile, lightweight and POCKETS. This dress will be my go-to all summer long, traipsing to bring kids to activities, to the pool, going to and from yoga...
Washes wonderfully, dries super fast.
Beautiful blue color.
Perfect summer dress. ;)
Maggie is the first dress I kept from &wool. I like the feel of the fabric. it is light and not itchy at all. I decided to enter the 100 challenge because I like "uniforms". I am team basic.
I like the flow of the fabric, nice neckline, and how the dress behaves.
This is SO comfortable. Truly. I would love to wear it round the clock. That said, I did end up sending it back.
1. It was too big. I should have been more careful about the size charts I think. I am a size 4-6 (5'5" and 120 pounds) and I ordered a Small, which felt huge on me. Huge and cozy. When I tried it on, my husband thought it was a nightgown...an expensive, heavenly soft nightgown.
2. The material, while super soft, was too thin. Even though it wasn't at all tight, where it did drape, the lines of my underwear and belly button were really visible- another reason why it seemed like PJs.
3. My sense is that in the right size and layered in various ways, this would totally rock, but I also wanted it to be flattering and presentable on it's own, which for me it wasn't.
4. I did wear it around the house for 15-20 minutes wishing it worked and I had my hands in the pockets most of that time. I loved the pockets.
I was really looking forward to this dress. I was even pleased to see that the pockets now have a nylon (or similar) lining, which should help prevent them stretching out when you put a heavy phone in them. Unfortunately, the fabric and the placement means that they are really lumpy on the hips, so it's not flattering. Additionally, it seems to constrict the "swing" of the dress, so it's more like a sheath than a swing dress. It's still comfortable and I like the color, so I'll keep it, but I probably won't wear it much outside the home. Also, it had a TON of static and I had to wash it a second time with fabric softener (which I try to avoid). That solved it and the fabric is much softer now, too.
I bought two long Maggie Swing dresses for summer. A red and a blue. I love them both. A great weight for the warmer months. Perfect additional to my wardrobe. They are so comfortable. Can dress them up or down for business or pleasure. Looking forward to adding more to my wardrobe.
I bought the Maggie in red as my reward dress after completing the 100 day dress challenge. I am in love with this one. The color is a nice deep red and it is super comfortable.
I was worried about wool during a hot and humid summer in Missouri but I had nothing to fear. Maggie is perfect. I may not be able to layer a lot over my summer challenge but I don't think I will mind.
A beautiful shade of red! Super comfortable and a terrific dress for museum-hopping or relaxing. This is my third Wooland dress, and I intend to buy one a season until you guys run out of ideas.
I was worried that the dress would be heavy, but the wool is light and perfect for warmer weather. I am not sure how short the regular dress would be, but the long dress is a bit too short for my comfort. It hits above the knee, and my knees are my best feature with scars from knee replacements. I now know that "long" = "short" for this dress. However, the dress drapes well, and I like the pockets. It will not be hard to complete the 100 day challenge in this dress.
