I did the 100 day challenge in a black Rowena last year. I decided to do 120 days this year, but when it got cool, I decided that I wanted a heavier fabric so I bought a black Margo. Earlier today I was thinking the dress was so cozy that it felt like a soft hug. It fits nicely and feels slenderizing. Only thing I’m unhappy with is the shoulder seams. They are puckery — kinda like pointy hanger marks. Dress is not too tight in the shoulders, it’s just how the seams are sewn (or not pressed). I’m hoping it will get better after it is washed.
I really wanted to love this dress. The Marionberry color was perfect and the thickness of this fabric felt great, but even the XS was way too big (mostly width but a little long too).
Love the fabric and style of this dress. Unfortunately, I had to send it back as the small fits to tight. All the other dresses I’ve purchased are size small. Customer service has been very helpful in assisting me to send it back. I sent it back via US postal service, as I don’t have a printer nor a way to bring it to the other option provided. Now just waiting till I hear that they approved my return so I can reorder a larger size, or order another style. I haven’t decided as of yet.
This dress is substantial but not heavy. The fabric is thick enough to be forgiving in this shift style dress and lays beautifully. Very happy with my purchase! I have an XL Rowena that is a little loose, so the XL Margo is just right.
I like the style and the Marionberry color a lot. I took the website’s advice to size up if you think you’re in between sizes, and that advice worked well for me. Sizing down would’ve made it too snug around the hips. I usually gravitate toward A-line dresses or styles with a wider skirt, but I was pleased with the not too tight drape of the Margo.
