I ordered the tank in black. It is so comfortable and warm (it's winter currently). I fully plan on replacing all of my summer black tank tops with just this one. The fit is good. I don't remember anything obvious being weird about the fit. I'll wear it without an over shirt, no problem.
I like this tank top and wear it often as a layer under sweaters, wrap dresses, long-sleeve t-shirts. I'm between L and XL in Wool& and I have an XL. It's fine but I think I could have gotten away with a L. As a suggestion, I would like it in heather gray or a very pale pink color, if that ever became available.
The color seems to be more cream than white. I’ll be layering it under jackets & sweaters as the material is very thin.
Hi Cindy, we're sorry the color of this tank wasn't what you expected. Yes, 'natural white' is more of a natural/cream color than a true white (which is quite difficult to achieve in a natural fiber like wool.) Please don't hesitate to reach out if we can assist you further.
I think this will be nice to keep cool when layering in summer. For now in winter, it is one of many layers of wool to try to keep warm! The straps were way too long for me, with an extra couple of inches on each side that made this hang way too low. With a sewing machine and basic sewing ability, it was an easy alteration to make it fit better. Overall as much as I want to love wool&, unfortunately it is not great for someone really petite like me!
Thanks for your review! We're sorry to hear this essential tank didn't work well for your petite frame, but we're glad you'll be able to put it to good use once the straps are shortened! Thanks for your feedback, we'll pass that along to our team.
This tank is a perfect fit and an everyday staple! I got the black one in XS, which is what I wear in my wool& dresses. I love it as a base layer but can imagine I'll wear it on its own in summer or even for a workout. I'd love more colors!
The small is a bit larger than my other tank tops, but still fits quite nicely. The medium is too big, and gapes in front of my armpits. Teh fabric is so soft, I don't think about it at all while I am wearing it, which definitely cannot be said of all wool. I have worn it under a shirt and sweater, and also on its own on a hike.
I was happy with the tanks, though I was surprised with their sheerness. Yesterday I wore the black tank for the first time, as a layer under a sweatshirt, untucked. I was very dismayed to find at the end of the day that the shirt had holes in it from the jeans at the buttonhole. I am very disappointed that this expensive shirt was worn out, with holes, after wearing it once. I am a lover of wool and your "live with little, but quality" philosophy, but the garment is not now wearable except for my most casual occasions or underneath something. I couldn't believe it when I took the shirt off.
Hi Jane, thanks for your review. That's not what we'd expect from one of our tanks! Please reach out to our HelpDesk with some photos so we can see what we can do for you.
I've been wearing my tank as an undershirt or to sleep in. When I washed it, it torqued / seams twisted. This is the first Wool& garment I've washed where the side seams twisted. It's still fine for how I'm using it, but I was a bit disappointed to have the fabric torque like that.
Goldilocks - not too tight, not too loose, soft for wool, lightweight for a great undershirt. Love the V or round neck options. Highly recommend. I am picky.
Fits great in my regular size. I have only layered it so far but it is solid enough (maybe *slightly* see through) to wear by itself. I love that is can be worn as two different necklines. This is a great piece to help me minimize my wardrobe... I plan on getting rid of most of my other black tanks/camis.
