This is the second attempt with this dress, the first (2x) was far too large. This would be the correct size, but it has a funny hang. Unfortunately I suspect the weight of the pockets and the side kick combine with my hip to create an inverted tulip shape which is not flattering. Usually I love a sheath style dress but this one just didn't work out. This particular dress also had a point in the shoulder that might wash out but I wasn't willing to risk it as I've had enough sweaters keep that hanger bump that I'm wary. I will try a different style.
Hi Corinne, thank you for your review! We are sorry to hear that the dress does not fit as well as you hoped. The shoulder bumps do typically go away with a wash, but we understand you may want to exchange it anyway for a different silhouette. Please give our helpdesk a shout if you have any questions about the exchange process!
But Vintage Blue, not so much. But I have learned that wool dyes so easily. In 24 hours I changed the color to Deep Ocean Indigo! (Blended Navy, and royal blue with a hint of eggplant!)
I sized up from L to extra Large, because it is not a swing dress. I love this style and that it is a bit thicker. It will be perfect for cooler weather! Can't wait to bling it up for the holidays.
I haven't worn the dress yet as it is still warm in my area, but I really like the weight of the dress and the quality. I am looking forward to wearing it with tights and a scarf when I go on a trip to Europe in December. It can be casual or dressed up with my pearl necklace.
Because of my wider middle I needed a large. Even though my shoulders and bust are smaller, it still fits nicely. I originally ordered a medium which is my usual size but it was too snug around the hips. The large feels just right. The return of the medium dress went very smoothly and I got the new dress very quickly.
Love the quality of this dress and that I can wear it for lots of different occasions. The length is perfect on me. I reviewed the sizing chart to determine what size to buy. Based upon the chart and my hip size in particular, I should have gone with an XL. Upon reading multiple reviews I ended up going with a L and think a M may actually have been the best fit.
I purchased a second Margo because I wore my black one so often! I like the fit and the ease of layering. Love 3/4 sleeves! I am long waisted and find the elastic waist styles are too short waisted for me, so the shift style of Margo is perfect.
Sizing info: I am 5’4” and 215 lbs with only one breast (bra size had been 38 DD). I wear an XL in Sierras and an XXL or 1X in most everything else.
