I love the look of this shirt until I put it on. The neck line does not lay flat and is very awkward. It is far thinner than I expected, and also quite short compared to the modeled pictures.
Ultimately the length is why I returned it, I thought about sizing up for length, but I fear it would be very baggy and even more unflattering.
Just not right for me.
I love this shirt. From the rich blue color to the feel and fit. It is a favorite. Would recommend it.
I ordered Stevie top in the washed navy color and it came today. I love the color of this top! I am not liking the fit of it or the feel of the material. The material feels very scratchy. The overall length is as described (26 inches) and it is too short for my liking on my body. The neckline is awkward for me even though I like the idea of the boat neck style. The minute I raise my arms up the shirt rides up, the neck gets moved and it gets stuck and bunched up along with the body of the top. Maybe a size larger would fix this ( this is in a size XL) but if the material is the same texture I don’t think I’ll be able to wear it. I did size up from my usual size. I like the weight of it for a top but the scratchy feel against my skin will drive me crazy! Sending this one back for something else.
The Stevie is a perfect 3 season (& 4 season depending where you live) top. It's thin enough to not feel too thick in the warmer months (or warmer climates) but with the 3/4 sleeves will keep you warm in the cooler months (& climates). The sleeves are much more form fitting than the rest of the top so, if you're looking for something looser, you might want to size up. For me, I liked the fit (I bought an XS as I'm very petite). Now, if only the Stevie came in more colours ... ;)
Love the ochre Stevie! It’s the perfect shade to go with a special skirt, but it’s good with many things—jeans, a denim jumper, for example. I ordered the large, and the fit is just right.
The Stevie Boatneck Tee is my new favorite shirt. Because I love everything from wool&, I splurged and bought two, one striped and one in washed navy. I've almost worn nothing since they arrived. The fabric is light in weight but warm, and not itchy. I find the boatneck detailing with overlapping shoulders to be both flattering and a bit sporty. Three-quarter sleeves make for easy typing, cooking and knitting. This shirt is as perfect for layering now as it will be for the shoulder seasons (see what I did there). Please do not make this in more colors or I will have to purchase them all.
I really love this shirt. I did follow the reviews and ordered a size bigger since I am fuller figured and it works.
I love the Ochre color! And I couldn't say no to washed navy either. I ordered both medium and large and am keeping the large ones. The neckline is lovely and feminine. For me, due to the Large size (medium was too snug in the upper arms and I wanted a bit less cling in the bust area) the shoulder area is a bit wide (my bra strap sometimes peeks out. Am looking forward to traveling with these! In the meantime, I am wearing them to work under cardigan sweaters (because it's cold!).
I am a huge wool& fan, with 7 purchases so far. Unfortunately, this boatneck top will be my first return. The "lap shoulder" design tugs in the front and gaps in the back, appearing and feeling awkward. It does not lay flat. I wish wool& had gone with a simpler boatneck design. The rest of the garment fit properly, so I do not think this was an issue of purchasing the wrong size.
Thank you for your review Mary Beth! Thank you for being a loyal customer, and for letting us know your thoughts on this tee. We'll pass this along to our design team.
I like the slightly drape-y boatneck, and would love to see in a wider range of colors!
DO check your measurements before ordering, even if you have ordered other wool&: this has a body skimming fit, and you may need to size up.
The 3/4 length sleeves mean it's great for the office, and for 3-season wear. Probably not the best shirt choice if your life leans more outdoors-y in the winter.
