I loved the feel of this fabric and was in such a quandary as to whether to keep it!
FIT: I initially ordered a Small because that's what I wear in the Sierra. I need a Medium so I exchanged. The medium was just a little too big on top, but fit the waist and hips better. The length on my was OK, it hit at that point where it needed to be either shorter or longer in order not to look too frumpy. I think a Medium-Petite would have been perfect!
FABRIC: The fabric will show panty and bra lines and is see-through so I felt I would need to wear a slip. If you don't mind it hugging your body and have more of an hourglass shape I think this dress would be great! I have more of a "boy" shape and my weight is in the middle so ultimately, based on the cost I decided I didn't LOVE it enough to keep it and will buy something I love more!
I brought the Marine Blue version on a trip in September and due to it’s versatility I ordered the gray when I got home. When the gift with purchase was announced, taking a chance on this gorgeous Dusty Cedar seemed a no brainer. It is the perfect layering piece and the length is just where I like it-especially when traveling. The slimmer silhouette is a nice change from my favorite Willow. The fabric works at least 3 seasons for me-probably 4 with leggings.
I finally bought a dress that's not black! I was worried this would be too long but it's not. It's great for wearing on it's own and for layering.
This dress is very flowy and cozy. I just wore it to a conference this past weekend with a casual blazer and some leggings and it was great. My other wool& dress is more fitted (Tulip) and an XL is more comfortable for me and my hourglass shape. I probably could have exchanged this flowy dress for a size L but I kept it and have been satisfied with it as more flowy and roomy. It's cute though, not too big. If you are between sizes you can probably size down.
I am in love with this dress and I know it will become a staple in my wardrobe.
