While I love the idea of a wool dress and the length was great, I am small up top(but a Medium fit fine there) and the swing of this dress is just too much for my bottom half (I am a pear).
Love it! I have been doing the 100 day challenge in the Willow - which is also fabulous. But I knew I wanted the Sierra for summertime. I have worn it with my Willow as a jumper and know that it will be on a steady rotation with the Willow for months to come. It is going to be the perfect summer dress. Its comfy, temp. regulating and a new favorite! Easy to dress up or down - versatility at its best. I will be living in this dress. Well done Wool&
I ordered the long charcoal heather to do the 100 day challenge in, and it arrived a week before the predicted ship date, which made me happy - but not as happy as the dress! The French terry fabric is thick but not bulky or hot. It feels high quality and drapes nicely, and skims over my lower half in a flattering way even when I’ve got jeans on underneath. The pockets are big enough to hold my phone without it falling out when I sit down, and are at the perfect level for my hands. And the way it doesn’t retain odors is...mind blowing. I’ve washed it once in 13 days of wear so far but only because was curious about how long it would take to air dry (about 5 hours). I could probably have sized down to a medium but I am very happy with the large.
I’m loving the cut, color, and texture of the Sierra in Canyon Red. The weather is already warming up in Texas and I’m thankful to have this dress. It looks great and feels even greater. Y’all don’t get me started on the pockets. I LOVE the deep pockets. Thank you Wool&. Y’all keep doing what y’all do.
Super comfy... looking forward to wearing is as soon as my challenge ends in 20 days!!
Love the dress! So comfy and not too clingy. The Large Long fits perfect and the length is just a few inches above my knee...good when I wear leggings or capris but sometimes tough to wear solo at school since our staff and student dress code requires dresses to be at least knee length.
I’m tall, but most of my height is in the torso. I had hoped ordering the long meant it would hit my knee, but honestly it’s a fair bit above my knee. I did dock a star for that. It’s a nice simple dress which makes it easy to style up or down.
UPDATE: I just received my other colors of the Sierra Long. Olive, Charcoal Heather, and Canyon Red. The shoulders are about 1" narrower than my original Sierras. More flattering, but I liked the wider shoulders as being more comfortable. I love the longer length. I'm 5'5" tall and the Long hits me right below the knee, except for the charcoal which is an inch shorter. I like my knees covered. At age 62, my knees are not my best feature. The Sierra is my favorite of the Wool& dresses. I live in Central Florida, and it's just right for 90+ degrees and humidity. The terry loops on the inside help keep the fabric floating off my body, and the fabric doesn't cling.
I have 2 of the first Sierra dresses in size Medium, and I love them. I was excited to get the long version, because I'm not a mini dress person. I just got my first long Sierra in the light grey heather, and I think it's mislabeled. It's too tight in the shoulders and chest, and the pockets are too high. I measured it against my other Sierras, and it's 2 inches tighter everywhere. I think it's a size Small even though it's marked as Medium long. Bummer. I should get the other colors I ordered next week. I hope they are the right size.
