I have had this dress for 2 weeks and have work it 3 times, twice with a thin belt and once just swingy. It is quite large around the hips and looks better belted but still ok and casual without. I live in Phoenix and it’s been 105ish, and this dress works. I’ll definitely buy from wool& again.
Very comfortable, easy to wear. I'm petite so the length hits almost to the bottom of my knee. Probably will have it shortened just a bit. Hope you'll consider more colors.
I ordered the L in this because at the time they were out of medium, my usual size (size 10 usually). I I may take in the sides to make it a little less tent-like--the arm holes were a little large, but like I said it's a size larger than my usual. I am glad I ordered up for the length, though; I suspect that it would have been too short in medium. I've tried it on with a belt and with different cute jackets and shawls, and it's really versatile. Also, my home office tends to be overly warm, and since I started wearing this, it's been much more comfortable and I haven't been sweaty!
Since starting WFH 3 months ago I've been on the lookout for great dresses with pockets. I love the weight and feel of this one, and it's great for summer! I'm in San Diego so it's not uber-humid but is consistently high 70s, and this has been so comfy. I am not very curvy except for my chest, and the size down to small worked out great. Fits nicely in the bust and doesn't look like a tent! The only time my bra is showing is when I have something heavy in the pocket and haven't adjusted the top a bit. You'd never know it was wool, not itchy AT ALL. I have the Rowena, and love it, but it does take a few minutes to get used to the fabric. Only downside for me is that I was spot-cleaning my son's shirt with oxyclean spray and must have gotten it on this - now it has a few bleached spots :( I haven't had that experience with other clothes, so must be something about the natural dyes. Pretty disappointed, but the spots are slightly below camera level for my conference calls, so it's not a huge deal.
now that i'm 30 days in i can say that another benefit to this dress is that it saves me from buying more stuff since i'm not going to be able to wear it this season. so even though it's kind of pricey for one dress, it's versatility and stink resistance and the 100 day challenge is actually saving me money in the long run, whether or not i make the 100 day challenge or not (hoping i make it!) it's also nice to not have to worry about what to wear each day. it also dries surprisingly quickly--i've hung it up to air dry and had it dry within 3 hours!
