Giving it a try

So, I have been looking at Wool& items for a few months as a friend is doing the 100 day dress challenge. I am a nurse and wear scrubs 5 out of 7 days a week, and so wanted to get something I could really wear. I decided to try the Sloan 100% wool long sleeve T because I loved the emerald color. Honestly, I do like this shirt, and I am wearing it a lot- even a. few days in a row, but it is scratchy, and I do get hot in it, and sometimes cold. For the most part it is comfortable despite the rougher texture (I have worn much worse), it airs out well, the color is just beautiful and I am looking forward to seeing if it keeps me a good temperature during the winter. I got a large as I wasn't sure about the fit. Sometimes I wear mediums and sometimes Large. I am very glad I did not get the XL. The sleeves are a good length, the shoulders are very comfy, and it is a loose fit, which is fine as I will almost always wear it under a scrub top or sweater.

100% wool top is excellent!

I was a little worried about sizing reading the reviews between this and the not-100%-wool version. For reference, a medium Camellia fits me very well. I thought I might need to size up to a large, but went with a medium anyway. The medium fits great! It's not skin tight like a base layer, but it's also not baggy. I'd say it's a slightly tighter fit than the model wearing the emerald. I also have long arms and am used to sleeves being at least an inch too short for me. The sleeves are a great fit!

Comfortable!

Great comfy shirt! I ordered a large and an xlarge. The large fit the best; however, the shoulder seam was a bit off on one side, so I sent that back. I will end up ordering another large for wearing under my Sierra, as the xlarge is a bit too big for layering under. The xlarge is wonderful, though! I love how comfortable it is, and the sleeve length is not too short (I have long arms). It has cooled down here, and I have not taken it off for two days. I even slept in it last night :) For fit: I have broad shoulders, so wear a large in sleeved dresses. I wear a medium in sleeveless dresses. The xlarge isn't too noticeably bigger, but the seam does fall slightly off my shoulder.

Like More than Sloan Mixed Fiber

I ordered the 100% wool Sloan and the version mixed with nylon. The 100% wool is a smidge thicker/heavier fabric 190 gsm vs 160 gsm, which I think gives it a better drape. I also found the sleeves to be longer, which is what I need. The sleeves of the mixed material Sloan were almost a bracelet length and felt too short when I moved. Overall I thought the 100% version had a better fit, style and feel.

Sizing: I Do Not like any bumps or bulges to show through my clothes when standing, but I also don't like a garbage sack loose fit. I was in a quandary as to what size to order. Typically I'm a medium in many things, sometimes a large with broad shoulders and long arms. I own a Cora Shift dress, and after ordering multiple sizes, kept the small. I didn't keep it, but I was drowning in a Medium Sierra tank. According to the size chart for Sloan, I needed to order a Large. I emailed customer service and they were very helpful, especially when they told me the dresses are designed to be worn with a lot of positive ease, but the shirts are true to size. As a knitter that clicked and made sense. I still ordered a medium and large in both versions of the Sloan because of the great return policy. Customer service and the size chart were spot on with the Large being the right fit. For reference, I am 5'6", 156lbs, 34D/36C, 38/30/39. I plan to wear this stand alone or under a vest, not as a tight base layer, so I love the fit that skims my body without showing all it's flaws. The Emerald color is gorgeous and the Natural White, a nice light cream/off-white. The seams were not straight on one of the shirts, but customer service responded quickly and is going to replace it. I haven't had a chance to wear either shirt yet to report on durability.
