This was my second dress and even though I already had a cobalt blue Sierra, I got this dress and it is lovely and flattering. The silhouette is pretty, the waistline is nice and it is easy to dress up or dress down. This was my 30 day challenge dress for 2023. I started it the day after my 100 day challenge ended and it was an easy transition.

I am normally a medium in non-wool& dresses but I got a small in this one as my bust is small even though I have wide hips (43" in these photos). It fits just fine without pulling across my hips or backside. If you are between two sizes, I would think you could size down (at least if you have similar proportions to me (pear shaped). I can't speak to other physiques and body shapes but at least for those of us who carry more of our weight on our bottom half the smaller size should be fine.

I put this dress on the day I got it and haven't taken it off for 22 days. I got the medium long and it's just the right length, in my opinion. It is incredibly easy to wear with anything. In hindsight, I may have ordered a small but it's my first Wool& dress so I wasn't sure.

I wore this dress in 2023 for my 100-day challenge, and have gotten SO much use out of it after. It is super versatile and meets the bill for both flattering and comfy. I did have to get the arms tailored, but I expected that from other reviewers.

Use your waist measurement for the best size. (I am a S in this, but an XS in my Cora.)

I eyed this dress in garnet for a long time and finally took the plunge. The garnet color has heavy brown tones to it (unlike the actual stone or how it appears on the site) and it is not a good look for me. Additionally, I am tall, 5’9”. The elastic waist just didn’t hit the right spot. It seemed to fit around ok (size small) but I know I would never be comfortable with the waist. For the right body and the right coloring, it’s a lovely dress. It simply doesn’t work for me.

At first I was thrown off that the waistband sat above my natural waist, at the bottom of my ribcage. Then I realized that it was sitting at a narrower part of my torso, which has a slimming effect. I've worn it twice and gotten compliments on it. I'm very pleased with it and glad I got it.
