Would like this with lower rounded neckline and with 3/4 sleeves and pockets
I agree that it needs pockets. They are one of the things I love most in my willow dress.
I love the idea, but it's a no go for me without pockets.
I would buy this if it had even one pocket. I love tulip hems. Just make sure it stays closed with enough thigh coverage when sitting.
Love this style but will not purchase without in seam pockets. Yes it adds to the hip bulk but can be done. As someone who makes many of my clothes I won’t make (or buy) anything without pockets. ADD THEM!!!
Would love seeing a wider hip measurement! Like a style of skirt somewhere between an A-line and circle. Seeing anthing other than a pencil skirt is an automatic favorite. And I second on the pockets!
I like this design, possibly, but I really must insist that you try to do more flattering lengths—hitting right at or above the knee is just not a good look on most women unless you have perfect knees—even then, it looks childish. The length of most of your dresses, even the so-called "long" versions, is absurdly short for everyday or professional wear for anyone above the age of 22. I don't want to have to wear leggings—defeats the whole purpose of simplicity in dressing having to find a pair of pants to put on with the dress! Ideally, I'd like to see the Rowena swing in a midi (below the knee), a midi-length wrap dress, and a short sleeve, cap, or sleeveless midi or indeed maxi. Since it's wool, the Rowena is quite warm and I need to free my armpits! We can always layer! Please note Carine's review below! I agree exactly! Most of your styles have a very frumpy effect when worn, but because they aren't even long enough, you can't get any of the modest-Frum crowd! It's sort of slutty-frump, which is a hard look to pull off. I really like your ethos, but try to find more flattering shapes and draping! I'm very disappointed in my "long" Rowena swing. I bought it a year ago, never found the desire to wear it, finally pulled it out today, and have spent all morning trying to figure out a way to add some more flattering length and swing. Maybe I'll try a long silk slip as an under layer with some kind of frog or other closure to give it flattering detail around the waist. hmmm.
description of a well fitting dress , for a majority of women
hit just below the knees, to elongate silhouette
A shape, or slight flare, to give movement, and away from hips
wrap, go give scrunches around waist
v neck , to elongated neck line
sleeves, short, to be wearable in all circumstances and weather
at least one pocket, at the seam
I’m so short and curvy that I really need definition at the waist so this would be great. Please add pockets! Even just one that’s large enough for a cellphone would make all the difference.
I love that this dress is a little longer. I really want some dresses that are below the knee in length, its a much more flattering and wearable style for me.
