I'm on day 79 of the 100 day challenge, and not tired of this dress yet. It's a great blank canvas to pair with most anything. It will also be perfect for travel. The fabric has a beautiful feel and drape, and is wonderfully comfortable and temperature regulating. It really does resist odor--I've been washing it every 7 to 10 days and could probably go longer. I'm 5'4" and busty, and the long length hits just below my knee. I like the versatility of this length but could also have gone with the regular size. Women with large busts may not want to size down quite as much on wool& swing dress styles as you otherwise would. I'm a medium to large in most clothes, and the medium fits me perfectly in the bust and shoulders and is a tiny bit big in the skirt area.
I am in love with my dresses willow and rowena! Fit well and does not itch.
This dress is lightweight, so soft, comfortable! Love the gentle color.
And, of course, who doesn't love pockets!!
I'm really enjoying my willow dress in lapis blue. The color is very pretty and distinct without being too stand out to wear daily. It's comfortable and lightweight, but the wool and breathability make it easy to layer and stay warm in our upstate NY winter. It's a bit less full than I anticipated - this has both an up side and a down side. Nice fall. A petite would have probably had a slightly better fit in the shoulders and arms. It gets too staticy with fleece leggings but works well enough with most natural fabrics and a bit of dampening overnight.
Lovely in lapis. Got the long to feel comfortable barelegged. So comfy.
I'm slowly converting my closet to clothes that are easy to care for, can be worn multiple times, and are flexible pieces that can be worn in almost any situation. In other words, ideal travel clothes. This dress fits the bill. I've only been able to wear it a few times since I bought it (I have to wear pants at work and it's been quite cold where I live), but it's been extremely comfortable. I've played around a bit with styling and I can see wearing this most of the year, both dressed up and dressed down. The small fits quite well. I'm curvier than most my size and I'm always worried about shapeless dresses, but this one actually has more shape on me than I expected. I've been adding a belt to define my waist and it works better than expected that way. I'm looking forward to getting more use out of this once the weather gets above freezing.
I am loving the dress. Very comfy. Any wrinkles fall out over night after being hung out n a hanger. I am 5’5.5” and I got the Long because I don’t care for the babydoll look on me. Kinda wishing I had the regular size one but I can cinch the Long up to make it shorter, giving me more versatility. I love the color. Bright enough to not be boring but not too bright that it can’t be a neutral background for accessories. I usually wear a small or a medium. I went with medium so I could put layers under the dress with ease.
I am a teacher and I love me my cardigans 😆 I have toyed with a "uniform" in the past -- capsule wardrobe, a particular t-shirt on a day, whatever I can do to simplify my morning routine but still look put together. Since I got it, I've been wearing it every day, even remote teaching days and to go shopping. I hang it up each night so it can air out. It truly doesn't get smelly or sag! One downside to the dress to consider: it is very prone to static cling, especially if you wear tights in the winter. I used a half-slip, but when I reach up, then the slip shows. So, I found a slip that is a full-length sleeveless slip so that if I reach up it doesn't show and that helped with the cling, it also helps with keeping the dress clean. Even though I'm short, I still recommend the long length because this dress is a swing dress and if you are active -- I get down on the floor or climb on tables to grab things -- then you'll appreciate that extra bit of modesty. I have had compliments on the dress, but mostly I just wear it and no one even really notices because it's just so easy to put on a sweater and run out of the house! I like the length of the sleeves, the neck line, and the light weight of the dress. I got black to make it easy to wear daily, I wish there were a navy or dark gray for winter. If I can beat the challenge, I am looking forward to getting a sleeveless dress for summer!
I have the plum and the lapis Willow. I love both, but the plum is an especially beautiful color. I ordered medicine in both as I prefer a less swingy style that my large Rowena gives me. I love the neckline and the sleeves.
The Willow I bought is a lovely blue. The fabric is great—wrinkles fall right out. The fit is flattering and I can get many pleasing variations of the “look” with accessories. It will be excellent for travel.
