I waited 7 months to get my order, finally! Then I discover the arms are sewn smaller than a garment of the same size. Secondly, the static cling from the high nylon content makes the dress stick to thighs when wearing 100% merino leggings.
Love this dress, as I love my other dress from Wool&. Lightweight but warm and beautiful
I'm trying to switch my wardrobe over to more sustainable and durable clothes and this fits right in with the other pieces I've bought with the same goal. I love the pockets. The yoke fits across the shoulders just right. It's super flattering when belted and still very pretty when swingy.
Last spring I ordered a Lapis Willow but by the time it arrived the Camellia was available and I didn’t want two Lapis dresses so returned it. Then got the “Lapis” Camellia which turned out to be more of a mild lavender blue. I was disappointed in the color so reordered the Willow. Waited seven long months through multiple delays…. And its the same washed out color, not the real lapis blue as the first one. The dress is fine. The color and customer service… not so much. I’ve completed the Challenge and worn Wool& for almost a year, but this really takes the shine off for me.
I really wanted to love this dress. I was planning to do the 100 day challenge but I just didn’t love the way it fit. For me, it’s the neckline and the shoulders. The shoulders were a little tight and didn’t lay flat at the seams; the neckline just wasn’t flattering. I’m pretty flat chested and would have preferred either a deeper V or maybe a scoop. I just ordered a Rowena so hopefully that suits my figure better. I did like the swing and the pockets. I felt the length was pretty versatile on my 5’8” frame. I’m in the PNW and it’s boots and tights season here.
I received my dress just before a van camping trip over Thanksgiving. I wore it over leggings to Thanksgiving dinner and the next day, to the beach. It dresses up or down, fits perfectly,
I wear black tunic dresses nearly every day for at least three seasons a year. My goal with this purchase was increase the durability and quality of my typical purchases in cotton or synthetic. The pockets are a huge attraction too. The fabric is very light weight, frankly slightly flimsier than I was hoping; some might consider this an asset. My overall impression taking it out of the package is, whelp that's fine, not excitement. It feels designed, cut, and sewn no better than any other similar dress in another fabric for which I would pay 35-55 dollars. It just feels really over priced for what I received. Maybe I'll come back and increase the rating if it actually proves more durable. Fit is fine.
This dress arrived late in 2020 while I was recovering from Covid. I wore it 4 to 5 times a week until April. When I put it on this first week of November it was like finding a long lost friend. I had to shorten it so wish there was a shorter version for leggings but that was a minor problem. It is wearing beautifully. No pulling or stretching
This dress is comfortable, versatile, pretty, and effortlessly wearable. I love that I don't have to wash this every wearing, I just hang it up after a day in it and it's ready to go the next time I want to wear it.
I love the feel of this dress.
