Beautiful and comfortable

I am a dedicated pants wearer. I discovered Wool& through a link in an article about best travel pants. I now have three Wool& dresses, two pairs of pants, two tunics, one Stella, one Sloan, Roam bra and underpants, lightweight leggings and an appointment to donate 40 or so garments to a welfare-to-work nonprofit. I'm done with fake fabrics.

Now, about the Frankie bike short. For me, these a triple win. I wear my Willow, my Rowena and Sofia, but I felt a little exposed or something with bare legs underneath since I am used to pants. These bike shorts bridge the gap. They are comfortable and help me to feel just covered enough to be comfortable wearing dresses. Purely psychological, I assure you. The bike shorts are not tight but do fit firmly. Since I am still about 15 pounds overweight, when I sit down, there is a noticeable dip on my thighs where the bike shorts end, but you'd really have to be looking for it.

Also wanted to add that there are plenty of other merino wool clothing companies out there, but I've always sent their garments back. Wool& colors are just prettier than other companies. So are the designs. Wool& dresses have nicer touches like the gathered back shoulder seam. I'm a huge fan. Thank you.

Proportions off

Too large in the waist and tight in the thigh. Ordered size indicated on chart. I would need to size down one for waist and not for the thigh so will have to return. Lovely fabric.

My go to

These bike shorts are my perfect under dress item for comfort and, in my case, chub rub. The rose color is a nice neutral.

not stretchy enough

the fabric feels nice and isn't transparent, but the shorts really aren't stretchy enough to be good bike shorts, I'm afraid I'll rip them if I squat

We appreciate your honest review of the Frankies, and are sorry to hear they didn't work for you. We're always here at help@wooland.com if you need any style or fit recommendations!

Too short--I prefer my shorts a few inches longer--for that reason, these were very uncomfortable for me.
