I've had the Roam in XL for a few weeks now, and I have worn hardly anything else except when it had gotten stinky after a week or so of constant wear (I now own two so I can rotate as needed, especially because I will love it for travel).
I am a 38D and wear a L in Evelyn & Bobbie and Branwyn, but sadly the first-batch L Roam didn't fit and I was too late to get a first-batch XL. I use the cup inserts from Evelyn & Bobbie (I just stick them against my skin instead of messing with the insert holes -- never had skin irritation in over a year of doing that through all kinds of weather). I notice that the inserts start to peak out and need adjusting once or twice during the day, but it's not a big issue for me. The fit is comfortable and smooth all around. The bra is lightly supportive but not compressive, which helps because too much compression or pressure on sensitive parts of my shoulders can trigger migraines for me.
This bra has been revolutionary for me! I loooove Brooklyns but didn't like how they worked with my preferred bras. I felt like I needed to wear a cami to look professional/modest, so I mostly wore Brooklyns at home and only wore Isabelle on date nights (with the last vestiges of my underwire collection, which I now categorize as lingerie, not daily wear undergarments).
Brooklyn and Isabelle lay so nicely with the Roam crossover! Not as much lift as my Evelyn & Bobbie bras, but those bras get stanky if I don't wash them every wear, and they don't work well for me with Brooklyn and Isabelle. But especially with a crossover style top, I don't mind the lack of lift -- my husband said it still looked very nice, just a different kind of nice. He is very much a fan, especially because it means Isabelle is more daily-wear now.
This will one thousand percent be my new go-to travel bra. First, I tend to get stinky during travel (anxiety plus sitting with my arms stuck against my body for long periods), so of course wool is amazing for that. Second, the separated cups mean that car seat belts will not ride up into my throat. Third, as far as I can tell, the strap adjusters are all plastic, so nothing to set off airport metal detectors. (Branwyn Busty bra uses metal, which has set off airport metal detectors for me.)
