I LOVE this dress. The neckline is beautiful, and it skims the body really nicely. I've worn it alone, with jeans, as a shirt, and it all looks great. The color is fantastic, as well. Marionberry is a very versatile shade and goes with so much. This is my second wool& purchase and I'm just so pleased with it. This is the wool& dress I've been searching for - its got a nice slim silhouette and both dresses up and down easily.
I've been wearing a marine blue Evelyn for two weeks and I absolutely LOVE everything about this dress. It's warm, but not hot, it has shape but is still loose enough to not be restrictive. It's professional but cozy and feels like pajamas. I love love love the inseam pockets, hides my phone perfectly. I'll definitely have to get a second in this style! Now I just need one with cap sleeves or shorter sleeves for summer!! I love the french terry fabric, it is SOOOO soft and comfortable. Truly, this just might be my favorite Wool& dress!! I own a few Maggies, two Rowenas, two Margos, one Sierra, and use a Camellia and a Georgia for nightgowns.
This really is the perfect winter dress. Cozy, soft, flattering, warm, and the best pockets. I have a Maggie, Ellie, Rowena, and Chloe. This one is my favorite. A home run, Wool&!
I initially ordered this in a 1x and it was too big and unflattering. I ordered an xl and it was a little clingy at first but soon relaxed into a perfect fit. I get so many compliments and I *love* the fabric! I got the black one. I’m usually not a shift dress person because I’m hippy, so I was nervous to try this but I love it on! For reference, I wear an xl in Brooklyn, Ro, and Fiona, a 1x in Cora, Willow, and Maggie, and an L in Sierra.
Love: the fabric, the pocket design (sturdy, can hold a phone easily), the visual look of the straight cut
Meh: normally in Wool& my shoulders are slightly broad for the cuts. There is *a lot* of extra room in the shoulders/ upper chest in this one. Overall, this dress feels like it was scaled to a taller person (which is fine; I can wear the Willow in a regular length which other people don't like!). The sleeves are a long 3/4 for me. And it turns out now that I've worn it several times that I actually prefer the swing dresses or skirts with more fullness for everyday wear - I feel a bit constrained in my legs in this one. So this isn't an "everyday" dress for me but it can be an "occasion" dress/ work dress.
I'm keeping it because I've wanted a dress in this fabric for a very long time!
