Elegant date night dress

I have tried a lot of wool& dresses and know I generally wear a large in the long sleeved ones and a medium in the tank dresses. The design on this is a snug bodice, so I'm glad I went with the medium. This is a substantial dress. The 180 gsm fabric is doubled in the bodice and I love that feature. Some of the dresses are just too thin up top for me and this one is sturdier. The ocean teal is GORGEOUS and perfect for summer. How I would change it: Straps shorter and wider and maybe 1/4" off each underarm. I will probably take it to the tailor to have the straps shortened 1/2" and try to take in the underarm seams. I would love it a few inches shorter as well - It seems like all the 2024 dresses have been midi or maxi and I'd prefer more knee-length options. I do love the dress, just think it would be absolutely perfect with a few tiny tweaks.

Gorgeous and smooth

Such a beautiful dress! I bought the black in S.
It lays smoothly over the hips and the neckline is very flattering.
I would give it 5 stars, except that the straps are too long on me and make the bodice droop a little. I’m always worried about losing the top. I will take it to a seamstress to shorten them about 1”.
I wish I could give this 4 3/4 stars. It really is a wonderful dress, just needs an adjustment for me.

Almost Perfect (Just needed an alteration)

I love the style of this dress on my hourglass-leaning-pear body but as-made the waist seem was a little too low and the arm-holes gapped a bit. But a quick alteration taking the shoulders up an inch and a half fixed all the problems and it fits beautifully. The waist sits perfectly at my natural waist, the arms no longer gap, and the neckline hits at the perfect spot. Moral of the story is don't discount it if you have these issues too, just try pinching up the shoulders and see how it fits then, it may be your perfect dress as well!

Other points of interest - the ocean teal color is beautiful, the fabric feels amazing, and the pockets are magical. I can put my iPhone XR in the pocket and not even feel, it doesn't pull the dress down at all.

Wow! Wow! Wow!

Ava is a "secret ninja" very similar to Milena. Seems simple in appearance, but incredible fit and style. This can be dressed up for a wedding and dressed down for every day. Those pockets make it even more special. Anyone with an athletic build will probably adore this. Fitted on top and flowy on the bottom.

Pretty in Pink but GLOWING in Red!

I've been on the hunt for my perfect red twirly dress for summer, so when Grace didn't seem exactly like my cup of tea, I turned to Ava even though the colors weren't ones I gravitated towards. I tried it in ocean teal, and it was lovely, but it was not my preferred shade of teal (I like a little more green than blue). So I ordered it in dusty rose, knowing there's no world I would wear that color, with the intention of taking the extra steps to dye it, and I'm so glad I did! While I do like pink, and was surprised to find that this did not look truly terrible on me, I do not like wearing such light colored clothing for fear of stains, and it's just not my personal aesthetic. This fabric did not marl with jacquard acid-dye, and the only hint it's dyed is the contrast pink stitching. This dress can twirl, and it gives me an old-fashioned vibe that I adore. I feel so feminine and ready to curtsy, and while the neckline is sexy, with it being square I don't worry about it dipping lower than my own comfort like V-necks sometimes can. It also goes wonderfully with a belt and is very smooth with the double-fabric, and the length gives the dress a lovely and elegant silhouette.
I do have to warn folks that I have not managed to find a way to wear either of the Wool& Roam bra styles (scoop, crossover) without them showing. The neckline is too low for the scoop, though that could work as a layering option if you want more modesty. The crossover can almost be covered--but it keeps coming out. You need a smaller bra profile (I have Branwyn, not busty) to have a hope of keeping it from coming out due to the small straps (thinnest I've seen in a Wool& dress, it's very cute, just something to be aware of).
