Quality leggings. I'm finally ready to add a pair of wool leggings to my cool wardrobe and started with these. Problem is, I'm petite, and round. Based on other reviews, I decided to order the cropped leggings, hoping perhaps that they would work as full-length leggings with ankle boots. Alas, still too short for winter, so back they go. I shall try the full-length Axis leggings and probably hem...or just have bunchy ankles under my boots. Short girl problems. Love me some Wool& though. When my current black capri leggings give up the ghost, I may order these as a replacement.
I though $100 for a pair of leggings was insane. I was wrong. These are absolute perfection. I'm sorry and they are about ankle length on me. It would be nice if they were a little shorter but whatever. The right amount of thickness, the right amount of snugness, the right amount of softness. They are also pretty tough, my husband has sent them through the washer and dryer a couple of times and no harm came to them. I wear them at least three days a week. They don't roll down at the waist (and I have a round belly) they don't slouch, and they don't bind. I don't think I've ever been so satisfied with a purchase.
I love the feel of these. They are ridiculously soft. I had read reviews here on the website and on FB groups that attest to the fact that they are high waisted and don't roll down. They are high waisted but mine roll and curl under my belly. Which is my only downside to these as it necessitates a longer top otherwise I'm flashing my stomach. The pocket is nice, and while stretchy I would only put cards or cash there. Anything else would just bulge.
Still my downside will not be the same for everybody,if you don't have a significant bulging stomach. The quality and softness of the material is completely worth the purchase of these.
So this was the 2nd try for this cropped legging. The first size S was smaller than I expected. Medium fit better, but I guess I'm not a cropped legging girl (feels too short), and $98 for a legging that's comfy but the wrong style will have to go back. If I can swallow the higher price, I'll get the regular length leggings for the small, as I do love the merino wool blend. I do hope they get brighter colors by then. The marionberry is still not bright enough for my taste.
As someone who needs a petite length the Axis crop is perfect. I've been living in these leggings. Love the new colors!
