I purchased a black Flora dress from wool& in May 2024 for a 20 day trip to Portugal in June. - It was a splurge for me! - I wore it at least 9 days of the trip in 72 - 92 degree heat and some high humidity. The cut, styling, and fit (princess seams), and the comfort of the fabric was perfect; not too clingy and not too loose. The armholes were just right with my average size upper arms and shoulders. A smaller armhole would have taken some consideration. I have a post menopause tummy and I found the cut and seaming on the Flora to be a more flattering style than a looser one, which can give a maternity look. Some days I wore the wool& Frankie bike shorts under the dress. Excellent! I like the slightly higher neckline for sun protection. I love the pockets, although they don't always lay flat. It has washed and air-dried well twice, with no pilling, so far. I paired the dress with a light-weight floral scarf that did the trick of shielding my arms and shoulders from the sun during the day. Black worked for either day wear or a dressier evening, and casual sandals or dress shoes compliment. The dress also worked well in the 94 degree dry heat of Utah. It was cooling and didn't show the sweat.
I decided to expand my color palette to the green 'thyme'. The thyme dress, a subdued but not dull green, is a good fit as well, so there is consistency. I hope the thyme dress will wear and wash as well as the black. Now my next set of travel photos won't be of me only wearing black. - I would love to have this dress in navy.

This was the most firm fitting dress that I have ordered. Having lost 25#’s since I started buying Wool& I was leary to order a large. I love how it fits as I’m embracing my curves. It is so comfortable and will be great for my travels to warmer climates. The color reminds me of a summer sky.

This is my first full priced purchase from Wool & after BSTing some dresses and participating in the mystery sales. It is LOVE! I chose black for versatility and it’s now my go-to LBD. Hubby also loves the way it fits, giving a blush-worthy review!

I was searching for a sleeveless dress to wear over my wool shirts, mainly turtleneck & crew neck long-sleeved but a couple short-sleeved tops too. I struck out with Sierra and Ava. But I'm thrilled to say Flora passes with flying colors, so much so that I ordered a 2nd color, which is unprecedented for me with wool dresses!

Flora is so flattering on me as an hourglass shape due to the princess seams. It shows my waist (unlike many other swing dresses), but it is still a loose fit. And of course it has the lovely twirly skirt that is so much fun. I ordered the size my bust and hips fall into, and that fit perfectly.

The 2 colors I got are blue jay and thyme. Blue jay is actually slightly darker than I expected- still a light blue for sure but more of a light-medium than a light-light. I call it my princess dress :) So far I'm loving it with other blues, purples, and darker greens. The thyme is a wonderful almost-neutral-but-with-color that matches almost everything I own, which is exactly what I was hoping for, as I'm trying to get away from colorless "true" neutrals. It is a little more muted than I expected, but I still like it.

I hope we get more colors in Flora next year! I would especially love it in red. I cannot get enough of this dress!

I’m large busted and initially thought it might need darts, but all was great after I gave it a wash and hang dry. Very flattering!
