Work for what I purchased them for

I really like these joggers. They are perfect for early morning dog walks, running errands, and also do quite well as hiking pants. The side pockets are deep and fit my cellphone, and the back pockets are handy for a wallet. They do make a slight swishing sound but I'm not sensitive to those sorts of things so it doesn't bother me. I'm giving them 4 stars because while they fit the waist/belly area great, they are a bit wider than needed in the hips. I'm glad I went with the size that fits my waist measurement (L) because one size down would have been too tight.

Travel pants and more1

Love the Hoyt joggers more than I thought I would, I'm not a joggers fan normally. I have the XL Black defective weave ones ( I took out the elastic and hemmed so they would be longer, and also took in the thigh area), they work well now. I got the Large Pecan ones and have not altered them (yet). I love the color of the Pecan ones, and will take these pants to travel in, but they work for any activity really. I wish they were about 1 inch longer, since I have long legs, but they still work. Very comfortable fabric, just a bit swishy when walking. Comparing these to the older style Mazama pants, these are wayyyy more comfortable. The fabric is thinner and stretchier and very comfortable to sit in, etc. Winners!

Fantastic pants

I purchased these hiking pants in defective black specifically for a trip. Unlike my previous hiking pants, these help regulate temperature really well. While these are great for spring’s 45*F temperatures, I’ve also worn them for an 85*F hike and stayed very comfortable.

Good travel pants but I had to make an alteration

I bought these pants for a trip...I would be doing lots of hiking and it would be chilly and wet. I did not want an elastic ankle. Once they arrived - off to the tailor for shortening and elastic removal. Following the size chart - the first pair didn't I sent them back for a size down. Based on the measurements I was a XXL but they were much too big. The exchange was swift - thank you!
All that said - I like the pants. They are polished enough for wearing in town and rugged enough for the long hikes I'll be doing. Bonus - they are comfy enough that they will be the pants I wear on the 8 hour flight.

A perfect pair of travel pants!

This fabric is magic, just the right amount of stretch but enough structure to hold up over a long airplane trip. I was unsure which size to order because I hover between sizes S and M. I ordered the medium, as a looser fit for travel is what I prefer. They are quite roomy in the hips so I ordered a size small to try side by side. The small was a much better fit through the hips and although the waist was a bit snug it would have worked. However the rise is shorter affecting the length. I ultimately chose the medium. I don't know what my usual size is, as these are the first pair of pants I have tried. I wear a medium in the leggings.
