Love, love the dress but the neckline scoops too much. This is my third Wool& dress. The neckline was just a little too low for me. It gapes when I move around in the dress. I had to alter at the shoulders. This dress would be perfect if the neck was raised just a couple of inches. I have it in black and it is my favorite go to dress. So easy the accesorize and the short sleeves make it great option year around as I can comfortably add a long sleeve layer.
We're so glad you love your wool& dresses! Thanks for your feedback on the fit; we'll pass this along to our design team.
My challenge dress in vintage blue. I don't know what not to love, the style, fit, comfort, color, versatility, fabric feel, pet hair repelling quality are spot on for my life. I find it's great at temperature regulating, quick drying and lastly pockets in a dress are life. I am usually a medium and although I am very happy with the dress I could have gone small.
I bought this on a whim and started the 100 day challenge mostly just for something to focus on. My 2x is much roomier than I anticipated (I'm usually between an xl or XXL at old navy) but it works. Im heavier than I've ever been so I've appreciated the extra space. Funnily enough, wearing it every day and taking a daily selfie has helped me find grace in my size and beauty in simplicity.
I'm utterly a convert to Merino wool. I've washed dress 1 in 65 days and spot cleaned a few times. No stains, no smell, no signs of wear.
I'll size down for future clothes from wool& but have already bought 2 more dresses in other styles and colors. A pair of leggings or two and I can get rid of 75% of my other clothes.
Great dress, nice weight, pockets, and excellent length. Very flattering. I have modern red Maggie, and I've gotten compliments. I have ridden my bike, gone for hikes, gone to dinner, visited a winery, worn it for work, and been to worship in Maggie.
I own three Wool& dresses. I loved everything about this dress except the neckline. It gapes on me and I feel limited in what activities I can do while wearing it. The fit and length are great but the scoop on the neckline isn't flattering (almost sags a bit, fits loosely). I'll probably try and alter the dress to raise/tighten that area which I hate because I wanted to love this dress right out of the package.
I have two Maggies and I've loved wearing them this summer. I have an XS in Modern Red and a S in Vintage Blue. Isn't funny that the same dress, depending on the color is either "modern" or "vintage"? Mostly I like the comfort and ease these dresses provide. They look good just by themselves, but are fun to accessorize, too. The fabric, of course, is just great--it doesn't retain odor and is easy to freshen up after wear by simply spraying a little clean water on the fabric and either laying flat to dry or hanging up in an open space--the fabric dries so quickly and wrinkles just fall away. I haven't decided which fit I like better. I guess I just like them both! The smaller size is more form fitting and the larger feels loose and swingy, but not overly so. Thanks Wool& for this great versatile dress. I will continue to wear it when the weather gets colder with the addition of a cardigan or other layer.
I am on Day 9 of my 100 Day challenge and I am just LOVIN' IT! (Haven't washed it yet and it smells just fine!)
This dress is SO comfortable and lightweight, it is summer here in Northern California and I've been to the county fair, ridden my bike, etc. and stayed cool.
Some days I have it in me to accessorize, sometimes not, but it looks great either way.
I started out with a large - my usual size due to my generous belly - but it was too big in the shoulders and looked too tent-like. BUT it fit my wife perfectly so it's hers now, and I ordered the medium HOPING it wouldn't be too snug through the middle. But it fits perfectly!
The pockets aren't really large enough for my phone, but handy for keys or a handkerchief. My usual summer attire is cargo shorts or a Purple Rain hiking skirt, both of which have multiple pockets, so I am having to adjust. This dress will be perfect for travel, I can carry it in my bike bag and shake it out and be ready for work.
I tried the Sierra - I REALLY wanted something sleeveless - but the fit was just all wrong, tight in the armpits, and was NOT flattering on me.
So, I've been wearing two of these dresses in near-constant rotation all summer. I like the slimmer fit and the plain back, which suits me better than the fuller style and pleated back of the Willow (which I tried and returned). I bought two in different sizes, due to limited availability. The small was a bit tight through the chest at first, but has stretched a bit and fits very comfortable. The medium is on the longer side for me, but isn't too big. For future dresses, I will be the Small. Both dresses are holding up very well so far.
Maggie has a wonderful shape and four season versatility. I sized up because that’s all that was available and I was concerned that since there’s no back pleat I would need a larger size. The larger size fit well at first but the dress has loosened up and it does not feel as comfortable now. I recommend trying your usual wool& size.
This dress has been on constant repeat since it's arrival. I love the pockets! I've hand washed it and it still looks exactly the same as when I got it. I should however have gotten a long, at 5'8" it's a bit short for this active mama. I also find the scoop to be a bit matronly and I wish it was a bit lower.
