Spruce Sophia - ALMOST the right dress for me!

Ordered the Sophia in Spruce. The good news - Spruce is beautiful! Mid-tone green with just a hint of blue. I definitely want something in this color! The bad news is that, unfortunately, Sophia is not the dress for me. Length and bodice are perfect; waistband hits me at the wrong spot. Of course, I know there are other Wool& dresses that look great on me, so I'm returning it and ordering something else!

Really happy!

This is my first Wool& purchase, so I got my usual size and it's perfect. Not too tight, not too loose. I love the elastic waist. For me, the armholes are perfect - they don't show my bra (and that can be an issue for me when ordering a dress online). I'm on day 14 of my 30-day challenge and no complaints so far!

Elastic waist a little tight

I really liked the style of this dress. The ocher was a little browner than I wanted so I traded for spruce. That color was good. The length and neck line and armholes were great. The fit everywhere was good except the waist. The elastic was uncomfortably tight, unfortunately.

Pleasantly Surprised by the Sophia

I decided to give the Sophia a try when the Sierra didn't work out for me. I have to say I love it — it's airy, elegant, and comfy. A couple of fit notes: As others have noted, the waist is a little high. With a fuller bust, this does mean the waist falls just a few inches below the bust, but the higher waist also allows the A-line to open up a bit more fully. (My hips are ~41 inches, and I was still able to size down to a Small.)

I purchased the dress in the ochre, which (to my eye) was a bit more of a brownish-gold in person — a bit more of a fall color, but very rich — and am now eyeing the green ...

Perfect Dress for Me!

I am using this dress as my challenge dress for 30 days. I have been quite happy with it so far. Because of a tangle in my yard with a bit of poison ivy, I have already washed and dried it, and it still fits like a dream. The fabric is soft, and even as someone who has had difficulties wearing wool in the past, the fabric causes no issues, even around the elastic. The straps are wide enough that my bra straps do not show. The length is perfect, made so especially by the slits in the sides, which make it a bit younger looking and more modern I have worn it with cropped sweaters as well as leggings, cowboy boots and a western shirt, and sneakers. Works several ways. The color looks good with everything, but I am especially happy with how it looks with purples and violets. I may have been happier with a large instead of a medium, just so I could wear something underneath, but I was between sizes and choose medium, which has been fine.
