These are quite possibly the most comfortable leggings I now own. I have Swift and I liked them so much I decided I’d like a thicker fabric for winter. I’m 35-28-39. I flip flopped on ordering S or M, but I decided that I’d order small. They fit well, aren’t too tight and passed the squat test. They are a bit long, so I tuck the ends under. Marionberry is a rich, beautiful color. They stay put, no adjusting needed.
I’ve tried a lot of other styles of leggings, including expensive ones from REI and Woolx, and these are *by far* my favorite. They are the perfect weight, not too thick or binding, and yet not insubstantial either. They feel really smooth and soft to the touch, while still feeling like wool. I actually just bought a second pair in navy because I need to wash my black ones occasionally. I can go a couple of weeks without washing them, and even then they’re not really stinky. I’m so impressed with these. I rarely leave reviews but these leggings are just such a good product I wanted others to know.
With sizing advice from Customer Service, I am very happy with my new Axis leggings. They are a bit longer (I'm 5'2") than they have to be, but no problem since they stay put. I've worn them alone, with my Rowena and under jeans and they kept me warm and cozy without too much bulk. The waist and ankles stay in place. I bought the Dark Marionberry and wore them with my Marionberry Ro and a non-Wool& BST dark gray dress and they look great. Still some static, but less than synthetic fabric leggings. I'm sure I'll be back for another color, or try the Summits. I highly recommned.
The Axis leggings are my favorite of all time. The fabric weight is perfect for both layering and wearing alone. It can feel slightly scratchier than other wool& fabrics at first but softens beautifully with wear. I ordered navy this time and while I like the color, it’s an extremely dark navy, barely distinguishable from my black pair. FYI to customers who might be considering the navy. They fit true to size for me.
I have been reading about the benefits of wool apparel for months. Because my body runs warm and the price, I have held off ordering until now. We are preparing to take a three week trip to Europe this spring. I am looking for ways to pack the least amount of clothing possible, so I thought now's the time to check into the claims. The fit was good, maybe slightly long, but did not look bad. I ordered the mid-weight because the light weight was not available in my size. this turned out to be fine. I did not get too hot. I did have to wash them after one wearing though. Not because of body oder, but because of food odor. I wore them to a Super Bowl party and even after hanging in my closet for 24 hours the y still smelled like every food that was being cooked and served.
