The material is cozy and comforting. The pockets are the BEST! Evelyn just makes me happy to wear her. I feel I fall squarely between sizes in this style and now have Marine Blue in XS - a real stunner and figure flattering, and a S in gray - which I will be able to layer under comfortably and wear for years to come. Gray Evelyn has been discounted, and if that means she will disappear for good, I did not want to miss out and kick myself for doing so. It's the only gray dress in my wardrobe, so it fills a niche. This might be a great 2024 30-day challenge dress this Fall.
My usual size? It depends! XS in some; S in others.

A late review. Evelyn was one of my very first dresses (after a second hand Chloe) and my first 30 day challenge dress. I now have her in two colors. She is nearly perfect as a winter dress, warm and super flattering. The only thing I wish I could change is longer sleeves, but not a deal breaker for me as it rarely gets below freezing where I live. I was able to wear her in 90F weather during my challenge (surprise October heat wave). Great for travel— Evelyn and leggings was my uniform during a trip to Europe, and I was able to dress up or down easily.

Black XL Evelyn was my first dress. I liked it so much trying it on, that I started my 30 day challenge right then and there in front of the mirror. I like jeans and pants, and was unused to wearing dresses, so I was pleasantly surprised to feel so feminine all the time. It was described as having a V-neck, and I wasn't sure I would like that on this dress, but it's a gentle wide "V". The French terry fabric is lovely. I wore it in late-summer/early-fall, and though I sweated profusely many or those days, I still found it comfortable. It never did smell! (I do wish it were longer.)

Comfortable and fits well.

I decided to go for Evelyn even though I'm very much pear shaped and I love it! I love how comfy it is and my husband loves it probably more than any of my dresses! I feel effortlessly put together and classy any time I put this on and seldom do anything to accessorize it because it's just so pretty on it's own. If you've got bigger hips and avoided it for that reason, I encourage you to give it a try!

For reference, I'm 146 lbs, 5'6", 35 bust/30 waist/43-44 hips and this is a medium.
