When I received my top, I tried it on. It had a nice roomy fit and the fabric felt nice. However, I washed it one time (gentle, cold, with other wool items, with a wool fabric detergent), and it 1) shrank 2) got itchy and 3) ended up feeling hot. I did not size up because it only went to XXL and that is my usual (roomy) size. By the size chart, I am an XL, but I prefer things to be a little oversized for comfort. Unlike when I tried it on before washing it, there is now a slight gap at the front, so I will need to think about which bra I wear with it and/or wear something under it and leave it unbuttoned. Sitting in it will be less comfortable since the last button is tighter. I think the shrinking really happened along the gussets (across the shoulders especially, along with the line down the front where it buttons), and it does not hang nicely any more.

I am wondering if it is the linen in the item causing these issues rather than the wool.

I have had Florence in Blue Plaid for about 10 days and I have found reasons to wear her every day since. I love the style, so many different ways to wear it, the plaid matches everything, and POCKETS! The fabric is very crisp and stiff, but not uncomfortable. I did size up in this and I'm glad I did - I'm usually XL in fitted styles (waist/hips on the size chart) or L in less fitted styles (chest on the size chart). This is my new favorite!

I like it but it’s not as soft as the merino dresses I brought.

I bought one Florence and loved it so much I bought another. Perfect to wear with leggings and a t-shirt. I can leave the lsleeves long or fold them up. It looks great as a "jacket" over any of my Wool& dresses. Or button it up and add a belt. I can even wear it under my sleeveless dresses for another style! So many uses! It is about to travel with me to the Amazon river!

I’m Wearing this right now and I love it. In the very hot summer, being indoors with air conditioning can be a shock to the system. The tunic is a light over layer. Great over dresses, over shorts or anything else. It did have a very scratchy tag sewn into the back but that was easily removed.
