I usually wear a 3x in pants. Exchanged for a 2x and they were still quite baggy in the hip and thigh area. Loved the fabric and weight and length.
But sadly, had to return these, too.

For 1 thing, even though they are a heavy knit, they are so comfortable in our very hot, humid summer weather. The loose wide legs are great for ventilation. I love the fit, the waistband is just wide enough to feel really stable yet, it doesn’t want to fold over on my fluffy feeling days. They look great with sandals or sneakers..

I’m 5’2”. These do not fit like crop pants. They fit like normal fitted pants to my ankles. Which is fine for me. These are THICK. And I wore them on a day in the mid 80s with reasonable humidity. And they were just fine.

I ordered Black on a whim to try but I wasn't convinced the waist was flattering and didn't think they'd look good on me - boy was I wrong! These are so versatile that I came back and bought Navy and Aegean Teal. I've worn them to work with a blazer in the freezing air conditioning, and I've worn them with pearls and a sweater to fancy events with trustees who needed to be impressed, and I've worn them outside with sneakers running around after my kid when it was almost 80 degrees. We'll see how late into the fall I can wear them before my ankles start to get cold.

Did not realize the style had changed - that's on me - but sometime between ordering in Dec 2023 (old style) and Jun 2024, there are some changes worth noting.

New style:
back darts - don't always lay flat, maybe the shape of my backside but I prefer without darts
longer leg
wider leg

I have the old style in black, love them! No pilling, great for warm and cool weather, so comfortable, great pockets, wear them a ton.

I was excited to buy a second pair in another color, and I didn't realize the style had changed until my order arrived. I tried both washed navy & aegean teal, but just do not see myself wearing them much due to the longer/wider style. For the price, I want to love them and wear them a lot. They still look good and fit well, but I think that maybe culottes are just not my style. Wide leg crop pants are though!
