I wanted to comment on the "softness" of the wool and some reviewers comments that they wished the wool felt softer.

I work in the textile industry and one of the factors that determine how "soft" a wool feels against the skin is how the fibers are spun. The more loosely the fibers are spun, the softer the finished yarn will feel. At the same time, the looser the fibers are spun, the weaker they are. So if you are used to by Merino wool garments that are super soft (like a baby bunny), you have probably noticed that they pill and wear out quickly. The pilling comes from the loosely spun fibers which literally wiggle out from the rest. The poor wear comes from these loose fibers separating from the rest leaving weak spots in the fabric.

I have owned several wool& dresses for a number of years. I wear them and wash them over and over and they all look brand new. They exhibit zero wear and tear. And they all feel great. I don't know anything about the specific process involved in making wool& fabric. But you can tell by the way they maintain their integrity after multiple wearings and washings that thought was put into the production process.

I received the Willow Legacy in Wisteria in a medium long in the mystery sale which is absolutely perfect for me. Perfect size, color, and length. When I first tried it on I thought this is still way too short for me and definitely too low but I decided to try it out as a gown. Talk about a luxurious experience! I have Raynaud’s Syndrome and before I would wake up throughout the night because I had either gotten too hot or I was cold. I have not woken up again in a sweat since I began wearing this dress for a gown. After a month I got rid of all my synthetic and cotton sleepwear. Willow was the catalyst for my decision to seriously transition my clothing from whatever to Wool&. I’m not completely there yet but I’ve definitely made huge progress.

Been wanting a dress like this for years! Fabric is soft and the dress is well made. Fits well, drapes beautifully. Can be dressed up or down. It’s an investment for the price, but I think it will be worth it. LOVE this dress! (Haven’t laundered it yet, so cannot comment on that.)

The legacy Willow fits great, is a wonderful fabric that is true black when my white pets aren't all over me.

Very rough. Disappointed.
