Great joggers!

Took a chance on these and I love them. They will be great for travel and everyday. I knew they would be too long on my 5" frame, but are perfectly wearable w/out alteration if I just turn the elastic cuff up inside the pant leg. Love the deep side pockets too.

Definitely more of a charcoal color but you can’t tell unless you compare it to a true black. But the fit of these is why I’m keeping them. Very comfortable and user friendly day to day.

Ordered the “defective black” to try these out. As many have said there’s no actual need to open the zip they will just pull on & off. The fabric is great, big pockets and I really like the “not deep black” effect! The elastic at the bottom I can actually tuck under to create a more tailored look. Toying with removing the elastic as other have done but not been quite brave enough yet. These will be a great pair of pants for travel also. I found the fit true to size.

Hoyt Stretch Tech Jogger

I'm between XL & XXL for bottoms. First purchase was XL but was way too tight on my thighs. Exchanged for XXL, but fit was strange. Mirror showed loose wrinkly fit on the legs. My plan had been to remove the ankle elastic, which may have smoothed out that look. But I didn't want to chance it, and then wouldn't be able to return. (Going to try the Summit straight cut.) Color: Defective Black. Nice color!

We're sorry to hear that the sizing on the Hoyt joggers wasn't perfect for you! We're always happy to help with any fit or sizing recommendations over at We hope your next purchase knocks it out of the park!

Good activity pants

I got the defective black, which is like a charcoal gray--still a great color for general use. These pants have less wool content than wool& typical fabric but more than most trail/hiking pants, which tend to be 100% synthetic. This more technical fabric will likely be better at shedding rain and stains but does make that "swishy" sound with movement. I typically wear M wool& bottoms, and these fit well at the waist (surprised to find there's a button and zipper--I can slide them on easily) but slightly shorter at the hem than I'd prefer. The front pockets are deep enough for a phone and other essentials, while the back pockets are fairly shallow but still useful for small items (tip: don't forget to cut the stitch on the back pockets!). I'd love to see these in a convertible, zip-off shorts, but otherwise, I think they'll make a great hiking/travel option.
