Obsessed!

I absolutely love these shorts to wear under a dresses and skirts. The fabric feel amazing on, and somehow empowering! I like mine roomy, so I ordered one size up from the size that I wear in other notable underwear brands for skimming undergarment shorts. I wear them for a week at a time without washing, which will be revolutionary for traveling. I hang them nightly inside out to air out. Two thumbs up!!

Nice Fit, Completely See-Through

I am, and will remain, a loyal wool& customer. However, these shorts were a disappointment. The fit is fine. And the waistband seems quality. However, the material is completely see-through. I typically post pictures with my reviews, but I cannot do so with this one as any photo would make my underwear completely visible (not the outline, but the entire garment, pattern and all). This was a big disappointment. But I have purchased enough other wol& items to know that this is not the company MO. And I will continue to purchase other products from them in the future. :)

We're so bummed to hear that we let you down with this product. We so appreciate you sticking with us and for the helpful feedback so that we can make improvements moving forward!

No stretch & weird fit

The medium fit perfectly in the waist but way too tight in the thigh (strangely they have very little stretch). I exchanged them for a large, which fits in the thighs but too big in the waist. I do have very muscular, athletic legs, however with some stretch the medium would have fit. Medium is my usual size for Wool& leggings.

We're so sorry to hear the fit and stretch on these was a letdown. We'll be sure to review and really appreciate your feedback on them. We hope you'll stick with us!

I have never worn bike shorts or any shorts under dresses before, but I couldn't resist trying Frankie as the recent gift with purchase. I was curious about wearing them instead of underwear, or as another layer for a little extra warmth when I don't want leggings. Sizing is more than a little confusing, because it seems like half the reviewers sized down and the other half sized up. My measurements are 32-26-36 so according to the size chart I am an XS, but the waistband was so tight I could barely get it over my hips. I exchanged for a S which fits more comfortably. I don't know yet how much the fabric might relax (and here again, it seems like some reviews say it relaxes a lot and others say not at all), but if I have to choose I would rather these be a little too big than a little too small. They are very soft, and vintage rose color is a nice neutral which will work under lighter colored dresses. I am looking forward to seeing how these wear, and if they will end up becoming a new wardrobe staple for me.

A wardrobe staple for me!

I get a lot of use of my Frankie shorts, mainly in summer. I'm plus sized so I wear them as slip shorts under dresses, with regular undies because I wear them so much and I don't want to wash as often, unless I get real sweaty.

In the winter I wear them over tights under my dresses, which still works as kind of a smoothing garment (I wish the seam on the waistband was not so prominent), but also makes my tights a lot more comfortable and they stay up better - not to mention prolonging the life of the tights since they don't rub together.

I sized down because the fabric is so stretchy, but I think I'm an anomaly. I have black, and I would not wear them as regular shorts because they are a bit sheer. But that makes them thin and great as an under layer!
