My Rowena has become the start of a whole new way of looking at clothing. It is so cozy it is tempting to sleep in it. I like that it is very plain on its own because I can accessorize it any way I want to. It is amazing for not holding odors, so it doesn't need to be washed very often. After wearing it for the 100-day challenge, it still looks brand new. I now have two other wool& dresses (another Rowena and a Sierra) and some other wool items in other brands. I am saving up for another dress already, with the eventual aim of wearing almost exclusively wool.
The dress is so comfortable and light, I can wear it multiple times without wrinkling or smelling, it's easy to clean hair and other stains off on a spot basis as to not have to launder it every day. The dress can be styled a number of different ways as to be able to be worn every day and the comfort is by far the best that I've found in a dress such as this.
I have the Rowena long in a size small, green. I love the dress and completed the 100 day challenge in it. It surprised me that it wasn’t all that warm. It’s wearable in the 70s, which is great, but not warm in winter for my climate without a lot of layers, which doesn’t work so with a dress. That said, it’s a lovely dress, fits great, easy to wash just the armpits occasionally and keep wearing.
I am not doing the 100 day challenge, but have decided to wear this dress weekly for 1 year to see how creative I can get. Love the color, fit, and that it has pockets!
Today is the last day of my 100 day challenge and I am simply thrilled with how well this garment has held up to the rigors of work and home life. No pilling, shrinkage, etc. Love.
It’s my waning Covid lockdown daily dress! Good for home, marketing, work, triking (tucked into waist).
Why you ask? It matches my Chihuahuas so the odd tan/white/black hairs go unnoticed, the ARMS are long enough, the neckline is perfect, & best of all it’s so comfy.
I love wearing dresses with leggings and the Rowena does not disappoint. I love the pockets and I love how roomy it feels, although I wonder if a size L would have been better. I am not one for tight fitting clothes. What sold me on this dress what not only the testimonials but also this gorgeous color. I can’t say enough about how beautiful this cool olive marl is. I’m so glad I didn’t wait too long and miss out. This time I bought a Long but next time I will get a normal length, since I wear my dresses more as tunics. The dress is so soft that it’s hard to believe it is wool. I am positive, this will not be my only wool& dress in my closet.
This dress is just what I hoped it would be! I've only had it a few days, and I've already found several ways to layer it to achieve my aesthetic. The way I feel in this dress is exactly how I have always wanted clothes to make me feel. As some others have said, the only thing I would change is to make the sleeves an inch or two longer. But even if the sleeves stay exactly as they are, I'm already planning on saving up to get another one in black. (I got the forest marl, so lovely.)
I have the Rowena in black. I'm 100% certain it's becoming a staple of my small wardrobe. The stretchy fabric drapes well without bulk, but it's not so clingy that it emphasizes the lumps my bra makes. It's easy to layer this and/or wear a belt over it. I'm an hourglass shape, yet this dress is kinda shapeless. So keep that in mind that maybe size down if you want something that is more curve hugging to your top half. As it is on me, it drapes well enough when worn loose that I don't specifically feel like I'm wearing a tent, but it definitely is flowy and not curve hugging. I usually wear mediums or larges depending on the ampleness of hip regions in clothes. The medium would fit me I imagine, but I wanted super cozy so I ordered an L.
I usually wear between a medium and a small but I went with the extra small after reading other reviews. I am glad that I did because to me the body of the dress would have been to loose otherwise. If you do not like the arms being snug I would stick with your normal size. I picked long because I wanted it to come down below the knees. I got this dress for the challenge and I have been able to wear it as a top, as a dress, and as a skirt. Its been very easy to wear all the time.
