Looking forward to layering this top!

I really love this top - I will get a lot of use from this in the fall and winter, and perhaps even on cool summer nights! I find the fit to be slim, but not tight which makes it perfect for layering under dresses, buttoned shirts, cardigans, and jackets. The fabric has a silky feel - like a high grade cotton would, and it is not itchy at all. I generally wear a medium in more fitted styles like this and Chloe, and I wear a small in the swing styles like Willow and Camellia.

versatile and comfortable

I bought both S and M sizes to try, in different colors - my bust puts me in size XS/S, but my waist and hips are in the M range, and I didn't want anything too close-fitting. (My wool& dresses are mostly S (Rowena and Sierra) but the M worked better for Cora.) I was figuring I could do an exchange if one of the sizes really didn't fit, but as it turned out, both are great - the S is closer-fitting, more like a base layer, but still fine to wear without anything over it; the M is looser-fitting but not sloppy, and I can definitely still layer it under other things.

Great 1st wool top

This was my first purchase of merino wool & I was pleasantly surprised! The material was thinner than I expected, but very comfortable to wear - no scratching, not too warm. I got the Teal & Marionberry. Both are beautifully saturated colors. I sized up 1 size and like that it has a little room and isn't clingy, since the description said slim fit. Overall I'm very pleased and feel the top is worth every penny. I wish there were some lighter colors!

Great color and fit but wrinkles easily

LOVE the color and I got an XS because I wanted a more snug, almost baselayer fit. I'm pleased with the fit and super soft fabric as well! The only downside is that the fabric wrinkles super easily. I've owned several brands of wool shirts and clothing before but this is the first time I've run into that problem. Huge bummer for me because I was hoping this could be a really low-maintenance travel shirt.

Thanks for the honest review. We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing excessive wrinkling with your Sloan! While merino wool is naturally wrinkle-resistant, we do have some tips for getting rid of those initial wrinkles that we'll send over via email shortly. We appreciate you sticking with us!
