our sofia midi dress comes with a few advantages.

I’m obsessed with the colors that wool& chooses. I have the brooklyn wrap in blue and green, and this dress in orchid. The shade of purple is darker than I was expecting, and has a cool undertone. The arm holes, while they could be a little smaller, are ok. They don’t dip down so low as to show my bra. It does show a bit of my strap in the front, but I also wear balconette style bras, so the straps are wider-set. I can’t wait till it gets warmer so I can wear it out!
Hi, I did not buy this dress, but I can see that the arm holes are too big for a bigger size woman...and since I am a little closer to the size of the model, I probably won't try this one. I have to agree with the other poster.
I love the fabric of my other dress. (long sleeves--Rowena Swing Dress original) and I hope for more dresses that are taylored for women in a more flattering way using this same luscious fabric. =I noticed that the one I do own is a little tight around the bust, also, (38 C) so maybe that is something to keep in mind across the board. Its also a little tight in the long sleeves... I think the arms could be bigger for my size.... The dress fits otherwise. I think its a medium.
I actually prefer a shorter length as I am only 5 ft 3 and want them at or just above my knee.
Thanks for making wool dresses!!
Update: I did not give this dress 5 stars. Sorry.
Pros: Fabric feels nice and the colors are pretty. I like the longer length. I like the elastic waist.
Cons: The pockets are ridiculously tiny. I can't even get my full hand it them. Anything you put it them will immediately fall out. Either make DEEP pockets or don't bother. Also, women have busts and there are no darts. The armseye is too big and gaps and shows too much bra in the front. It's cut too far in in front. The armseye needs to be higher and have a dart going from the middle of the armseye towards the center of the breast, so the top doesn't gap at the armhole. Either that or gather the fabric into the armhole binding in the front.
The Sofia Midi dress is my new power dress. I feel like a million dollars in it! I love how it fits, drapes, feels and how simple it is to care for (I hand wash and lay flat to dry). It has been worn to Monet art exhibit in Ft Worth, a fish fry fundraiser and a Czech wedding so far. Just change up the accessories to suit the occasion and all is well. I could strap on the hiking boots and trek through England’s Lake District without a second’s hesitation in this dress.
Having discovered the comfort, I mean true comfort, of Merino wool makes me seek it out in clothing. This dress is a great addition to my Minus 33 degree leggings and Gap wool sweaters. I probably will add 2 more of these dresses to the wardrobe in the next 2 weeks. In winter, just add the wool sweater and leggings.
Thank you Wooland company for such a fabulous dress!!
