DO GOOD

Do good is one of three core values at our company, and we strive to embody this value whenever we can. Our customers remind us to do good on a daily basis. We see it in our Facebook Group, where the idiom “kindness begets kindness” is practiced all the time.

As a thoughtful brand that is built around the premise of “slow fashion,” our goal is to offer quality merino items at a fair price. The concept of marking items up, in order to later discount them and encourage impulse buying, doesn’t help us accomplish our goal of mindful consumption.

Rather than running a Black Friday sale or promotion, we’ve chosen to contribute a portion of our sales to an organization who can use the funds in a meaningful way.

 

2025 CONTRIBUTION

Every year we select a new cause to contribute to during the holiday season. In 2025, we donated $10,000 to Rose Haven—a day shelter and community center in Portland, OR serving women, children and gender non-conforming folks experiencing the trauma of abuse, loss of home and other disruptive life challenges.

As funding cuts target the communities we serve, corporate support is needed now more than ever before to sustain our programs. We are seeing record numbers of kids and families in need—as Oregon faces the highest rate of unsheltered children in the nation we are providing holistic care. Our vision: A community where everyone has safety, stability, love, health, and home.”

    We empowered each wool& team member to donate to support a cause of their own choosing. We split $10,000 amongst our 30 full time employees and contractors so each team member could contribute $335. We recognize that our dynamic cast of team members are all involved in their local community and have values that range from social justice, animal welfare, climate change, economic development and much more; as a company we support our team in making an impact in the channels that mean most to them.
