Super comfortable and light weight
Nice bra but didn’t fit me well.
We're sorry to hear that the Roam bra didn't fit quite right. Our helpdesk is always up for talking about size recommendations or helping you through our easy and free exchange process!
The wool fabric is nice against the skin but the double layers in the cups are a bit bulky. The straps are not working for me although I will keep the bra. I have to extend the strap fully and that means the buckle is nearly on top of my shoulder. I now have a bump that shown through on most fabrics. The fabric of the front of the bra goes all the way to top of the shoulders before connecting to the elastic strap so one more thing that adds a bump to the top of my shoulder. Will wear it to see if I can change the elastic strap so the buckle is by the other end.
Thank you for this detailed review! We're sorry that you're having these issues, but we'll take this feedback away to improve the Roam bra.
I wear a 30D or a 32C and am5’2” and about 125-130lbs. I’m wide set with lots of side fullness and slightly on shallow end, making me fairly hard to fit. I dithered between a Medium and a Small and finally went with the small for the correct band size. I wore it for 5 days: Day 1 as is, Day 2 smaller circumference thin pads for shape, Day 3 same pads but crossed straps, and Day 4 and 5 straight straps with wider circumference thin pads. The wider pads work better, giving the cup more shape and helping keep things where I placed them.
The band is a little tight, but within the realm of what I normally wear — not uncomfortable but noticeable. There is no doubt that it’s a fairly comfortable bra, but it doesn’t do any shaping for me because with my shape it’s really more like a hammock than a supportive cup. The pads help, smoothing the look under t-shirts. The biggest problem here is that I like a bra that will help keep some of that side tissue more front and center after I scoop and swoop. Worn with straight straps this definitely does not do that. The straps are very wide on my shoulder, they don’t slide but because of their width they don’t really do much to support — all the support is the band. Crossing them helps a lot to get things centered, but also shows that the cups are actually too small. (The straps also dig in quite painfully when crossed.) Worn with straight straps I also have very minor spillage, but so do most of the models so I’m on the fence as to whether it’s the bra’s shape or that the cups are too small. The biggest positive is that fabric of the Wool& bra under my arms is SO MUCH better. I struggle with itchiness and occasional rashes and switching back to my usual bras I noticed that I became noticeably more itchy with the switch back to synthetic fabric. The wool truly is better for my skin, I just need the RIGHT wool!
I’m going to try a medium. I expect the band will give me less support, but I’m hoping the cup are enough bigger to work with crossed straps.
Thanks for the detailed and honest review! We're sorry to hear that the size small Roam Bra wasn't quite right for you, and we hope the medium is perfect. Our helpdesk is always here to chat about sizing at help@wooland.com.
Currently I own two Roam bras (Black and Mocha) in size L, and Love them (see photos in previous review) and now *hate* to wear my underwires….even when dressing to go out somewhere where I need a bit more “lift”! LOL!
I bought this newest and most beautiful Pine colored one in size XL as I am on the far end of the size L measurements, just to see if a little larger size would give me more coverage on the left side as that side would almost fall out if I was working and bending forward (Like weeding my garden) And, it does help with that. However, the XL cups are baggy on the upper part of my chest*. Maybe I need to try something to boost me up? But, otherwise, it’s a very comfy bra and I do appreciate a little extra ease in the band too!
*Two photos-One taken sitting and one standing. You can see the excess fabric best in the sitting pose.
Altogether, this is a VERY comfy bra and I could see it easily doing double for a bikini bathing suit top!
Ps. One more thing. I don’t sweat a lot, but, the other day I was out and it was SO steamy outside a friend advised I drop an ice cube down my bra! I was so worried I would look weird with wet spot on my front (was also wearing a Woolx Cassie) but, not only did the ice cube trick work….I never saw the wet and I assume it evaporated quickly, which was amazing since we were outdoors at a restaurant and it was raining lightly as well!
