I love these new Aspen wide leg sweatpants. However, they do run big. I'm 5'5" tall, 146 lbs, and 38-33-40. I'm kinda between a M and a L, and I always take a L in Wool& pants, because I don't like my pants tight. But these are very loose in L, so I'm ordering a size M in these to compare with the size L. Anyway, more of this style, please.
I typically have issues with Wool& pants fitting me way too tightly (especially through the legs because I have big legs/back side), so I ordered my usual size and a size up and even the "usual" size is large. This isn't a bad thing though as they are very comfy and loose; however, I'm a little concerned that the waist may be too loose with wear, so we will see how that goes (but, I'd rather have to have the waist pinned than have tight legs for this sort of pant). I may still try a size down, just to see if they will fit better. I don't love the darting on the front because it gives my tummy an extra pooch, but I'm hoping as they are worn, this will even out because overall, I do like them a lot. I will have to have them hemmed (I'm just shy of 5'4" and have short legs), so I will lose the slit at the bottom completely, but I don't mind that because I find it unnecessary. I think with the right counter piece(s), these could even be dressed up a bit. The fabric weight isn't super heavy, but heavier than the lightest wool& fabrics, so a nice middle ground for multiple-season wear.
I'm a wool& employee and received these last month. Dang, these pants are amazing! I've worn them almost every day since they arrived - as a lounge pant, a casual pant for "mom life" and working from home, and to sleep in. I love that they blur the line between lounge and everyday wear, even though *technically* they are sweatpants. :)
Anyway, I chose the size that I measure on the size guide and they are perfectly loose and flowy. LOVE these pants!
