I ordered Black on a whim to try but I wasn't convinced the waist was flattering and didn't think they'd look good on me - boy was I wrong! These are so versatile that I came back and bought Navy and Aegean Teal. I've worn them to work with a blazer in the freezing air conditioning, and I've worn them with pearls and a sweater to fancy events with trustees who needed to be impressed, and I've worn them outside with sneakers running around after my kid when it was almost 80 degrees. We'll see how late into the fall I can wear them before my ankles start to get cold.

Did not realize the style had changed - that's on me - but sometime between ordering in Dec 2023 (old style) and Jun 2024, there are some changes worth noting.

New style:
back darts - don't always lay flat, maybe the shape of my backside but I prefer without darts

I have the old style in black, love them! No pilling, great for warm and cool weather, so comfortable, great pockets, wear them a ton.

I was excited to buy a second pair in another color, and I didn't realize the style had changed until my order arrived. I tried both washed navy & aegean teal, but just do not see myself wearing them much due to the longer/wider style. For the price, I want to love them and wear them a lot. They still look good and fit well, but I think that maybe culottes are just not my style. Wide leg crop pants are though!

Size details: I wear M in camellia, L in sloan, aspen jogger, and frame. 34G/42-38-42 for reference.

I have ordered these 2x - first time I returned as I thought they were too heavy - fast forward 8 months or so and I am now a complete wool convert so ordered them again! So glad I did, it allowed me to destash the non wool items!

I have two pairs of these and they’re terrific - stylish and great at multiple temps; dress up or down. Unfortunately the black pair haas patches of pilling within 5 weeks of purchase. The teal never developed this at all. (I have several pairs of merino pants from other brands - never seen this before!) Customer service told me it wasn’t a defect - but for this price point the fabric should be more durable.

I ordered these culottes first in black. I had some initial misgivings about them because they looked a bit baggy on me. However, after a few wears, I realized just how comfortable they are, so I ordered a second pair in Aegean Teal. It’s such a nice color and goes with a lot of different colors. They have nice, deep pockets, which are a must for me. They’re becoming one of my go-tos, from just relaxing around the house to going out for dinner. If Wool& offered them in an olive or forest green, those would be in my closet too.
