I waited for wool& leggings with baited breath, and ordered the second they became available. Unfortunately these were a total miss for me. The rise in the front is fine (above my belly button), but the back is full on 2002 low rise. Like bend over and show crack low rise. And I don’t have a particularly voluminous booty or anything. It was so strange that I thought they were on backwards at first. It could be that the 2X will fit better when it comes available (hopefully it’s not just bigger, but also redesigned for bigger bodies).
They were also totally see-through thin. Fine under a dress, but I’d never wear them to a yoga class. I’m sending mine back, and hoping wool& upgrades these ASAP!
Y'all need to nix any of the athletic-looking photographs. These are NOT for working out or for wearing with tops that just cover your bum. These function as tights. They're unbelievably thin and see-thru, and I cannot imagine them lasting more than a few months' of thigh-rub before busting through the fabric in the crotch. Aside from that, there isn't actually much in the way of "stretch" in these, either. They gapped over the creases created by my underwear and didn't hug my torso at all, despite the fact that there's no way I could have fit a smaller size. This is simply not the heavy-wear quality I expect from Wool&.
While I've been happy with wool& dresses in medium, I tried these leggings in both medium and large. My hourglass figure worked better with the large: your hip measurement is the critical one for sizing. I'd describe these as being the weight of "heavy tights", and would definitely NOT wear them as sportswear, as depicted in the product photos. I was expecting to wear them with dresses and tunics, so no disappointment there. The pocket is pretty basic and small: good for cash, card, or keys, but not a phone. The inseam length was perfect for me.
I was so excited for these leggings, but they're much thinner than expected - although I did read the product description about them being "designed to be worn as a layering piece under dresses and tunics" before I ordered, I anticipated a thicker ponte pant fabric/structure; these are more like opaque tights. I was surprised to see skin through them when I tried them on; I thought it was me, as I'm often between sizes, so I tried on the L as well, but same issue even with a looser fit. On the subject of fit: the M fits me well, perfect length and tight at the ankle, which can be tough for me to find as I'm right on the petite/average threshold.
They are definitely comfortable and warm, and I like the high waist, but I would not feel comfortable wearing these without complete front & back coverage - too worried people would see my underwear, and also the crotch is a bit baggy and obvious. Even so, I may keep the M because it's layering season and the pandemic has me working from home for the foreseeable future, but I am a bit miffed at paying nearly $100 for what are essentially black tights.
The leggings are completely see through even when they aren’t being stretched. They are absolutely unwearable as outerwear, like it shows on the model in the photo. Customer service is giving me a refund which I greatly appreciate but I don’t understand why they would photograph and market this item to clearly look like it was able to be worn in the photo, and then tell me in an email that they intended them to be work under a dress. That’s not what the picture shows at all. And the picket doesn’t make any sense if they are supposed to be worn under a dress. How would you access it?? Overall I am just really disappointed. I ordered these leggings the day they came in stock so there were really no reviews to look at. I wanted to make sure other consumers understood what I clearly did not before they purchased this product.
