The summer has been too hot here for me to wear the Sierra yet, but it is a lovely dress. The French Terry feels good on the inside, and the length and style are very comfy. I get super-hot all the time, so I've chosen the Camellia for my 100-Day-Dress-Challenge. It ends Christmas Day, and then I'm going straight to the Sierra for winter! Love these Wool& dresses! Thank you!
Great fabric and great fit. I love this dress.
No only do I love the longer length but I also love that they offer colors for someone who wears autumn colors e.g. olive and orange. Wish they made it in teal and autumn red.
P.S. Only use a blue Dawn dishwashing soap solution to spot grease NOT Ociclean which will fade the color.
I actually sent this dress back. I own my original Sierra (in which I completed the 100 day challenge), the long Rowena and the Sierra tank in charcoal grey original length. I love these dresses, but not this most recent one in green. The fabric felt thinner and didn't drape as well. The pockets stuck out and it just wasn't the same. I am awaiting my refund.
I was really sad this didn't work out for me-- ordered it early this year and due to some supply chain issues, didn't get it until the summer was over and chilly weather had already set in. That said, wool& did a good job of managing my expectations, and even sent me a total of $30 in discount codes to use on something else. I totally understand that this happens sometimes, especially with growing companies, and they handled it well.
I ordered the dress in Redwood, and the color was just as beautiful as I anticipated, but the construction of the dress was just not flattering on me. The tops of the pockets hit too high for me to belt the dress at my waist for a more flattering fit, and as typical with most of the wool& dresses out there, there is not enough fabric in the back of the dress to lay well across my behind! As someone with an hourglass shape, it's hard to find a dress from here that is generous enough around the bust area and bum but doesn't make me look like I'm wearing a sack. I think the Rowena might be all I can get away with from here, after all. I'd really love to see more dresses (in more colors than black) that can be cinched at the waist for a more put together look. I'd be a customer for life, then!!
This is the most comfortable garment I think I’ve ever owned. It’s over 90F and over 90% humidity this week and I’m STILL comfy on a walk. Cat hair doesn’t stick, cheese enchiladas don’t leave a stain, and it absolutely does not itch.
Today is my fourth day in a row of wearing the dress in a Georgia summer and it lives up to the hype. The fabric is weighty but breathable. Pockets are super functional. The long version hits me just at the knee. The stretch in the dress is just enough for it to keep it's shape and keep me comfortable. It's the uniform I've been looking for and I can't wait to layer it up with tights and cardigans in the fall. It's a bit of an investment for my typical spending habits, but 100% worth the money. I love the feeling of not having to think about what to wear in the morning! It's such a relief to just slip it on and go. Based on the measurements I thought even the xxl would be too small, so I ordered both xxl and xl. Xl fits like a dream. Plenty of stretch and a generous cut without having too much extra fabric in the way. Spot clean and, for the black you definitely need a lint roller. 10/10 recommend.
I ordered a cool olive and a redwood to go with my black. I love Sierra. I prefer the long because I am 5’ 9 and I don’t want my dress too far above my knees.
I just ordered my black Sierra dress to start the 100 day challenge. I ordered both the 2x and the xxl and the smaller one fits me best. I am 5"6" and weigh 265 lbs so you can see that it does run larger. I wanted it to fit my shoulders and under my arms (the 2x was too big under the arms, especially) and while it may not be as swingy, I don't notice. It is so comfortable, even though I never wear dresses and even though it has been 100 degrees F. with high humidity for the whole week I have worn it. I am not sweaty and not having chub rub. I cannot wait to see how this dress works in cooler temperatures! I also could not tell much different in length so I kept the longer one.
I absolutely love my Sierra! I’m just under 5’5” and the long hangs perfect on me. The washed Navy is such a great neutral; it goes with so much already in my closet - and extremely comfortable!
