I bought the dress for the 100 day challenge, I did expect it to look a bit more like linen but was surprised that it was more of a jersey look. It is extremely comfortable and versatile for different stylings (t-shirt or button down over or under, jacket, scarf friendly, etc.) The pockets are fabulous, deep enough to be useful, positioned just right to be comfortable. Fit as expected for size. Very breathable and comfortable, easy to clean.
I am wearing the Cool Olive Sierra tank to participate in the 100 day dress challenge and love her! She is super soft, versatile beyond belief and can do anything I'm doing. I just took her camping and it was incredible to only bring a few clothes items for me. When I got home, I thought for sure she'd stink to high heaven, but she didn't! She withstood 96+ degree heat and then kept me cozy as we packed up camp in the rain. If you're thinking about buying this dress, just go for it! You won't regret it. I sized down one size.
I'm about 15 days into my challenge and am really happy with my Sierra. It's well constructed, sturdy and lightweight without feeling flimsy or see through. Having pockets on a day to day basis is a game changer. I have so many style options and has optioned so many doors in my wardrobe. That said, I absolutely could use a bigger size if it were available to me. I'm happy with my dress but it's snug and I have less styling options to play with the extra fabric than most, as there is none. The stretch and it being a knit fabric have saved me but I would love to see Wool& expand their sizing. They basically doubled dipped on the 2x with the xxl and 2x being nearly the same size. Hoping their size inclusivity continues in the future.
The grey sierra is a solid performer and works well as a staple item in your wardrobe. I’m currently half way through the 100-day dress challenge with my sierra. It has transitioned well from cooler spring weather to the hot and humid weather here in North Texas. You can throw on a scarf, a sweater and leggings with your sierra to stay warm or wear it by itself to stay cool and comfortable. The dress is very flattering for those who carry weight around their mid section and have an ample bosom. If you are older and concerned about its above knee length, you can always wear it as a tunic over jeans, pants or leggings. I usually wash my sierra on delicate in the washing machine and hang it to dry once a week because I tend to spill food and drinks on myself and because perspiration is unavoidable during Texas summers. The material is somewhat thick which seems to help make it durable and strong to withstand anything. It has never snagged or piled. It looks s soft and not scratchy. I walk my dog several times a day in this dress and even sit on the ground wearing it as I brush my dog. I have biked in my sierra, walked the beach, visited botanical gardens, hiked nature trails and worn my sierra for a job interview (which I got!). It performs like a champ.
Wool & dresses have become my wardrobe staple and I especially love my Canyon Red Sierra. The fabric is cozy like a hug, and so far it’s comfortable to about 90 degrees. The cut is great for my pear shape, and the color is surprisingly versatile. I was worried it might not go with much in my closet but it plays well with everything other than bright red IMO. Thank you, Wool& for making fabulous dresses that are comfortable, versatile, and low maintenance.
Easily my new favorite. I was skeptical about the nylon/spandex content, but it turns out the dress seems (so far) to stay as fresh as the 100% wool Clara that I used for the 100 day challenge. I also wondered if wearing it plain might read a little too casual for work, but it doesn't! The Olive color isn't as deep/dark as I expected, but it's still a lovely shade for the sunnier months. Likely to buy in a second color. Hope this doesn't ever get "archived" or discontinued--I want to be able to collect a couple more over time!
Love love love this dress! I love the French Terry for summer. It’s heavy enough not to need anything under it, thus, (in my opinion) cooler for summer than thinner fabric that may need a slip for extra camouflage of lumps and bumps.
I’ve noticed on other reviews that the regular is not quite short enough for short petite sizes and the long is not long enough for extra tall women. I did have to hem my regular Sierra to a more flattering length. That didn’t bother me... I have to do it with most of my clothing.
I thought the neckline would be lower (more of a scoop), and the dress is more voluminous than I prefer. A straight or close A-line cut was what I expected. The pockets are great, though, and in four days I’ve worn it four times. Too much fabric for summer in Florida, so maybe I can begin my 100-day challenge in September.
Olive Sierra is my 3rd wool& dress! They have become my uniform and rarely a day goes by I’m not wearing one of them. They go from casual to dressy, and always stay comfy and cool. I especially love the yummy terry fabric of the Sierra!
Love this company for their sustainability efforts, transparency, and production model. Thanks for another great dress, wool&!
Love the weight, slightly heavier feel than the 3/4 sleeve dress I bought. Really love this. I have dressed it up and down.
Wore it to work and on weekends.
